I got my canvas jacket yesterday! This weekend I'll be waxing it down. Ready for the return of winter in Boston on Sunday. (70 today but snow on Sunday.)

For whatever reason these coats look better in the pictures you guys have been posting than in the product pictures.
Enjoy.

I received my denim jacket from Ciano Farmer today. After a more than frustrating experience with Lawless, I decided to give Ciano a try. I'm not disappointed at all. It's exactly what I was looking for in a denim jacket. As reported by many, the quality and details are outstanding (as is the value.) Customer service was also great in that they responded to my initial pre-order inquiries and also notified me when it shipped. The ETA was spot on as well. I ordered in mid-December and received the jacket today. Wanting something that was unique but close to a standard trucker, I chose the field jacket in Texas Denim Lot 3. I requested a few custom details as well - inner pockets with exposed selvedge detail, selvedge detail on one chest pocket, a vintage penny button on the other chest pocket, orange thread tackers throughout, and an extra 3" on the length (slim large.) It fits great! I really really like the novelty and story behind the Texas denim. As described, you really get a sense of its hand made quality. If anyone is considering an order, I highly recommend you do so. This is top quality American made clothing. I will be ordering again - especially if they release the workshirt in the Wabash fabric (a sample of which was included in my package and looks great!) Thanks cianofarmer That contrasting thread really makes that jacket pop. And I like the design, you can see it a lot better in this jean example than in the duck example on the product page. It's like Type3's are all over but I doubt you see another one of these in the wild.

I ordered a car coat in moss green with ivory thread. Is this gonna look weird? First time being adventurous with thread.

I ordered a car coat in moss green with ivory thread. Is this gonna look weird? First time being adventurous with thread. I think it'll look good/ok. As long as it's not a white and more of cream ivory. Cream I would think would tone the contrast down and look better then stark white.

I was in San Francisco this past weekend and swung by the Levis flagship store. I was just curious to see what they had. I was wearing my Texas lot 3 Ciano trucker. The sales guy in their vintage 501 section came up to me and oogled it. His exact quote, "Sick jacket!" I asked him what he thought I paid. He said, "At least $450?" He was floored when I told him it was less than half that. He asked for the Ciano website and said he would check it out for sure. Props to Ciano!

This order is sewn up and shipping next week. Puts it at about 12 weeks exactly. I had them put two flap pockets on top and paid extra for a few minor pattern mods.

Looking at the order I should have had them extend the arms 3/4 or so as I have no idea how much this is going to shrink. Anyways, we will see. I keep looking for it to appear in the mail this week, no shipping notification yet but I know it's done.

Considering you're a little longer/taller than me, I suspect the length with your mod would look similar to stock on me. Hope you get it soon and it's awesome; looking forward to pics!

Ok, I'll post pics. I'm pretty certain I may fall down the well of ciano jackets if this works out. I'd seriously like to source some sweet blanket lining and have a car coat made custom. Here is a nice Pendelton lining. www.heddels.com/2016/11/pendleton-italy-aztec-wool-lined-fish-tail-jacket/

Got mine and based on what I know about our sizes I'd say XXL Slim will fit you fine. I was right, and should have asked them to make the arms slightly longer, am hoping this does not shrink much after a cold soak. Look carefully at the pictures on CF's page and look at the cuffs. You "may" want to ask for a custom on the cuffs/sleeves and either ask for the cuffs to be made smaller OR it may make more sense to ask for a second buttonhole IF you like your cuffs tighter. The thing is, it being a workjacket, it would not have tight cuffs to allow for layering and freedom of movement. While this does have higher armholes and decently slim arm widths, it may be fun to allow for a tighter cuff. Not sure, really need to soak and see.
