Yes agree white is an extremely odd choice for a workshirt. I'd be paranoid of stains & I can't see what it would work well with.
I want to grab Gustin's product team & shake some common sense into them. There are hundreds of amazing selvedge fabrics they could choose for workshirts, both summer and winter weight. In fact, many of the fabrics they've previously run as button downs would work well as workshirts. It's not like they have to design a new shirt each time; all they need to do is choose a fabric & price!

Albino WS today. Listed with contrast stitching and navy buttons. Glad to see them trying things with the WS again, hopefully they keep it up long enough to offer something interesting and also get their marketing dumbass to pay attention. Actually looks like a really good fabric to me. But, "contrast stitching" and navy buttons is what turns me off from it. Sounds TERRIBLE.

So what's the word on the Japam Khaki Workshirt? Anyone one in here has one? There's a Large slim in the stock store, and I'm thinking to grab it.

Agreed, it's a solid shirt, old school military feel to it. See my pics a few pages back in this thread. The Gustin photos give it a green tint, but it doesn't in person; it's strictly sand-colored khaki.

You'd definitely like the IKS, and I'd go with "you'll probably like the japan khaki".

Still waiting for a brown denim work shirt... Downtown brown fabric would be so great as a work shirt.

I think the grain on the brown hemp is what makes it awesome! Currently trying to overcome my "snobbiness" and back it..... I look at it at that price and can't help but think what kind of awesome IH or PBJ gear I can get for slightly more or even slightly less

Still waiting for a brown denim work shirt... Downtown brown fabric would be so great as a work shirt. I agree a brown denim would be totally different to the hemp chambray, and I'd happily back both! I wonder if the DTB fabric would drape well enough for a shirt though. Did anyone get the BlackxCoal workshirt? How did that turn out? Edit: Just found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/rawdenim/comments/4izvkt/gustin_16oz_heavy_blackxcoal_workshirt/

Edit: Just found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/rawdenim/comments/4izvkt/gustin_16oz_heavy_blackxcoal_workshirt/ This was the first workshirt I ordered from G. I put it out in the Arizona sun for like a week off and on to reduce the sulfur smell which is almost minimal now. Still haven't washed it in 2 months but I don't wear it too often. It's a medium and I wear it as an undershirt because I'm really a large in G. I spent some time rolling up the sleeves really tight to beat up the triple thickness in the cuffs. And it's really eased up. I also crumpled up the front placket, collar, and shoulders and they drape better. Feels pretty decent now. I'll post pics when I soak it (I can't soak the shoulders or they'll shrink too much).

Five workshirts simultaneously in the store today! A record? Nice to see two more WS drops today, albeit reissues of older fabrics: the American Herringbone @ $101 and the Japan Khaki @ $135. I have the Postal Blue Herringbone WS; do I need the American Herringbone as well or are they too similar? Note the former is 12oz & selvedge while the latter is 9oz & non-selvedge. The Brown Organic CottonxHemp is creeping up at 59%.

One HBone is enough I'd say. Glad Lord G is only dropping repeats. I'm courious on why the lack of Twills and Flannels. Must be a reason other then "we don't want to".

Yeah, I asked them for a tall work shirt.
They replied that there was no demand, but I asked them how did they know there was no demand if they had never been offered.
These guys drive me nuts.
They offer tall in other fabrics..........
"As always I'll let the team know, but the main reason we haven't developed a new pattern is that the demand hasn't been there (aside from yourself) for tall size workshirts. We have minimums that we need to hit and for workshirts those minimums are harder to hit then for our other button-ups that we do offer in a tall size. Hope this makes sense, but hopefully one day we are able to put this out."

I backed the American Herringbone..... I absolutely love my IH-154 olive. As DigDug alluded to, I thought 1 herringbone workshirt would be enough. But, there is enough of a difference to warrant owning a 2nd. Having the G Salt & Pepper, I know the fit and quality work for me. Although, one change may be in order. It bears a resemblance to the extinct IH-35. I will be swapping out the buttons.....

I was "a day late, and a dollar short"... Procrastinated because I thought it would fund slowly... That's part of how I ended up ordering a stock CPO today

sorry, I know i've said this before but couldn't resist. The people responsible for writing G's copy reminds me of Eddie Sherman from Seinfeld.

My thought on this is that as long as they deliver on spec this is a good thing. Maybe I'm just tired of the "how much is it gonna shrink" game.
