It looks really good but its effing too long. Look at the third from the end picture (blue) he is a long dude and its below his crotch.... Im a little bit short in the torso so looks redicilous... Why so long... Why? Why? W-h-y-? That one does look a bit ridiculous, but it also appears to be a good inch or two longer than the herringbone product shots. They told me I was crazy when I was insisting there used to be a different fit guide for workshirts that had them a good couple inches longer, but now they're the same as the other shirts. After washing, they're all more or less the same length, workshirt vs button down. Due to their Raisin Bran design, many of the button downs manage to be too long and too short at the same time.

So you're saying to stick with the Measurement that I typically order on the Gustin regular button ups for my work shirt?

All I can say for sure is that the fit guide for both types of shirt is the same. Their sewn up samples seem to indicate that they used to be longer than they are now. After wear and washing, they're all pretty darn close.

I'm 6'2" and it took a hot wash to get my Slim XL Wabisabi to not completely cover my jean pockets.

This one is an anomaly for me since I ordered it XXL to size as a jacket, and it's the only xx I have. That was also that first run though, which they insist didn't have its own fit guide despite that short double indigo skirt that they have pics of on that herringbone campaign.

I thought the Gustin work shirt in L was much roomier than a classic G L shirt. I didn't like the fit of the Gustin L regular button downs, but found the slim Xl to be perfect while curtailing the dick flaps. So, should I change my size from L to slim Xl on my Japan khaki WS. Last work shirt I bought was the dead stock Italian postal Hbone. Got it in early 2015 or so, and love the fit.
If indeed they're coming in on spec to the normal Gustin button ups, I'll change my size to slim XL. I typically cold wash and hang dry.

I recommend it, unless the large is already too long and tall for you. The issue will be exaggerated in the slim xl if it is.

So the workshirts are shorter now? Then it might be interesting! An XL wash and tumble usually comes down to an L for me.

The G work shirt is chambray, not denim. The fabric does look pretty cool but I have written off G Workshirts

Nice! Do you wash after every wear? I've never seen Gustin post worn-in samples of their workshirts on Instagram or their website.

Yup. I have 5 shirts designated as my "work clothes" (Mostly because they are my 5 lightest weight shirts) that I wear Monday - Friday, and I machine wash/dry after every wear. Here's a pic with flash... The color is more accurate.

For me, it's just really a pain in the ass to try and memorize how many wears between washes, or follow special wash instructions for each piece in my wardrobe. It's just far easier to throw every shirt in the washer at once, set to super wash/42°/high spin cycle. In my experience it's far easier for a shirt to develop a "smell" than it is for pants, so I always wash after one wear. If I happened to wear the shirt only for a very short time (or maybe in winter when I sweat alot less) I hand wash after every wear. But, summertime gets "One wear, one wash".

Yeah, I was not washing them so much, then I noticed that my closet was smelling. If I want to baby something now I choose the "rinse and spin" cycle on a short time period with no soap. Everything gets washed cold and hung dry though, and usually on dedicates which is 30min on my machine with medium spin.

I was super delicate when I first got in to the more expensive brands, but then I realized the irony of buying clothes made with the strongest fabrics and made using the strongest construction methods, but still thinking I need to handwash or use the delicate cycle.

Right. But most of my stuff is thin cotton like 5oz or less. I cant sit in an office in IH levels of fabric.
