The Thom Mason stuff didn't make any sense because it was more expensive than J Crew or Proper Cloths massively better made and patterned offering in exactly the same material. Gustin does best when they offer a unique material that suckers people into accepting their cut and design. This is one time that their opaqueness serves them well.

Sorry metals37 those thoughts/rants weren't directed to you. I'm just a bit peeved that there's NO Good/Great shirt makers to be found in America. Yes some are ok (TS) But really No one can make a Great American Made (ok use Japanese fabric) WorkShirt!!! Really??? We Invented Work!!! We Made Great Shirts at one time (even GrandMothers made them at home). Is it really a lost art? I think the jeans are covered now, Who's going to stand tall and be the next Shirt Maker?!?! It seems like such an easy niche... What an I missing??? The Japanese can make American Inspired WS! Portugal can make some nice shirts (just not a WS yet, that I know of). I think Filson gave up on a Ameican made shirt (never mind a WS). Heck I think Bangladesh can make them. America, I don't know anymore... We're losing our shirts... (But doing better the Greece

It's really annoying that Sugarcane shirts are made here, but I can only find them on Rakuten. So made in the US, shipped to Japan and shipped back here if I buy it.

Funny, That's partly why I'm a bit POed tonight. I'm wearing a Sugar Cane Niel Cassady Chambray that I bought off Rakuten. I love the shirt, especially the buttons. But its shirt is 2 sizes to big, with a collar made for a Gorilla. I payed $150ish I think. It was Huge when I first got it, shrank 1.5 sizes but still not enough. So what do I do? Buy another one a size down?

Well, you could pay 2x+ and get them at self edge. Isn't rogue territory us made? The shop that Gustin uses has to be making other shirts since Gustin has put them on mothballs until we can look at January/February delivery. I can't wait for Russell to finish the kickstarter stuff so he can get some new Circle A Brand stuff going, though he leans more repro than I typically get behind.

DigDug you just need to buy an old school sewing machine, teach yourself how to use it, and start doing workshirts. That's how a lot of these new denim brands started, so just concentrate in a different area (which has a need!) and you've got it made. When you launch your Kickstarter let us know, and I'll back you.

Then I might get a shirt or two for us. She's a great seamstress (made my wife's wedding dress). But she just smirks when she sees me wearing a shirt with Chainstitch run off (I think it bugs her, so I keep them. Its a little game we play, "who can bug who"

(But doing better the Greece I don't agree. I find Ratio to be a great shirt. I don't know what more you could ask out of TS shirts. They are impeccably made in my experience. If you get the sizing right, SugarCane shirts are amazing. I don't understand the rant, really.

Just to keep the poor Wabash derailment going, Ratio gets a ton right, amd I hear you can ask for double pockets and less structured collars and cuffs like Proper Cloth offers, it would just be nice if they'd update their website. Their new madras offerings are pretty sharp.

Ok since I derailed the Wabash talk, let me bring it back around.
First anyone who doesn't own a decent Wabash Shirt is totally missng out on an amazing style fabric! Yes its vintage and I can understand some hesitation on it. Maybe you think its to "Little House On The Prairie" or Iron Worker looking. Its Not. My wife would not like it and she loves my Wabash shirts! I get the most compliments on a Wabash shirt from all walks of life.

So DigDug I just need to say eff it and order a pair of fancy pants from Ciano? I'm holding any thoughts on a pair jeans in Wabash till I get them. But a shirt, Hell Yes buy one! I highly recommend this one. global.rakuten.com/en/store/organweb/item/bf-0294/I still find it hard to recommend a shirt over $75, but this one I love. Its a nice lighter weight (good year round), the fabric I find very complex Its clearly indigo (even vibrant blue) but seems like its got some black in it up close. The white buttons really look grate with with the Wabash dots. The red stitching looks cool inside. Leave the Red run off on, for a great conversation piece. Beware it runs small. The XL is more like a Large.

Just to drag this thread back on track, and as a purely scientific and sociological experiment, I present my current Wabash collection, all in one.
IHV-02-blk; IHSH-62-blk; Ciano Wabash jeans. The IH stuff is identical material - black with beige/orange printed dots, Ciano's is a dark indigo with white woven stripes. The jeans are so dark you'd think they were black, if they weren't next to black gear.
I'm hoping Ciano will do a vest and Car Coat in his Wabash (and at a sane price), as it's such a nice solid material.
And just to confirm, under no circumstances whatsoever will I be seen in public with more than one of these items on at a time.

LOL And actually, it doesn't really look half bad haha. And those pants are ace. And I second the hope Ciano does a jacket in that fabric.

Don't be Abash wearing all that Wabash together. Each one looks Solid! after a few washes the CF jeans I would think will lighten up. I'm thinking that would make for a better look then the typical denim fades (wiskers, combs, etc).
A Car Coat in this would look great. Side thought on the Car Coat... Anyone think the pockets are a bit low?

If the vest and pants matched they'd be great together, but as is I fully support you never wearing these together again. Also, unless you haven't gone home yet, you seem to have managed to document proof of sunshine in England over at least a ten minute span. Congratulations.

Gustin large is too small and Xl is too big so i have to get xl and wash warm and tumble and then wear with a tshirt under.
But this is a litte hijacking of the ciano-thread.
