I tried and failed to keep myself from adding the 25oz ixi Swedish selvedge to my order. I'm between that one and the BxB 22 oz as well. I'm also mildly curious to see if the stretch goals will add any other denim choices. I have a feeling one of the goals will be a 4th freebie (don't need), but I'm hopeful one of them is more options.

I just was looking at that but I can't pull the trigger, I kinda want to see their classic cut in person. I kinda need an all black denim though to round out my rotation

I kinda need an all black denim though to round out my rotation I have the G Italian BxB and they really won me over as my first black pair. I grabbed a pair of Soso's during the last (second) KS campaign and was impressed by the cut/fit, etc. and was able to score a Kiahara broken twill. Really pleased with the experience and I figured $60 was tempting enough for a heavyweight pair. I'm probably leaning towards either the heavyweight black or I don't know. As for fit, I actually opted again for the original Slim Darryl fit. The current size 33 specs aren't too far off from my current pair (also a Slim Darryl fit). The waist was a tiny bit loose at first, but nothing a cold soak didn't remedy. I would say their tolerances to the size chart are fairly within reason.

Not sure if this is just to be proactive or for the early group that backed the $60 option - but they already emailed me and asked me to provide my order specs so they could get started on my denim. That's pretty quick.

That's pretty quick. It's not just the $60 group. They started collecting the details on the last campaign pretty early, too. Once they got the funding from Kickstarter they started shipping jeans they had already made. It went really well for those that provided details -- which I wasn't paying attention and didn't do until way later.

didn't see what the timeline was for delivery (3-4 months)? matt the only non-custom fit that would work for me is the straight cut. The thighs are already on the super tight side for what I would wear and that is the only cut with bigger than 7.5 cuff for an actual 36 waist.

And they already contacted me for my specifics on my backing and my mailing address. I'm going to guess this will be quicker than 3-4 months. As for fit, they do have an option in the order specifics to ensure the correct fit: "If you would wish to do an "fit alteration", then please let us know that. We need to manually communicate on that point."

The thighs are already on the super tight side for what I would wear and that is the only cut with bigger than 7.5 cuff for an actual 36 waist. I'm also stuck with the straight due to the hem width, but it is a solid fit. Based on prior experience, I would be shocked to see a three month delivery time. I was super late providing details (as in, forgot for like a month or more) and I think they hit a four month delivery window from the time I backed it, probably three months from the Kickstarter funding date. If they didn't have that straight fit, though, I'd have to customize a lot of measurements -- and if that were the case I'd just order through one of the custom-ish guys familiar to the forum.

Yea I know they offer custom tailoring but it's like $29 for each change made to the fit which will add up for me and I agree I could go elsewhere as well. Too late now for me since it is above what I would pay. Looking forward to your guys thoughts and pics

If anyone is thinking about taking a flyer on the Soso Kickstarter - I do highly recommend them. They already sent out a note to confirm production requests because they are basically looking to start production on these quickly and ship out the early backers as soon as the campaign closes. My other pair from the first Kickstarter (Japanese broken-twill) is still in my regular rotation. 12 oz., unique copper/green ID and a pain to fade. They do have a bunch of heavier options, and for those who are loyal to specific mills, they do have a 16.3 oz Japanese Sakeshi slub offering in addition to a bunch of 18/20/22/25 oz options. Kickstarter - Round 2

Thats about half the price (with 25% discount) as the PBJ's with purple weft I want. $29 a pair shipping stinks though. 14.2 leg opening on the Straight Jeremey in 36 is a deal breaker for me. I want at least 16" and that alteration is another $29 bucks. Dang, so close. I had everything in my cart. and coupon not valid on sale items. Hmm $150 SOSO vs. $225 PBJ?

I think the difference being that the stripes are horizontal on the Soso offering. I'm sure it's fine if you opt to never fade them - or aspire to wear them regularly in North Carolina to protest the H2 law.
Not the rainbow nep that most would have hoped for.

So apparently the current hold-up on their recent Kickstarter is that production on the giveaway t-shirts are delaying things. Yes, two free t-shirts that I didn't really want.

I had exactly the same thought. If you wish to bypass the t-shirts, just email them and ask them to ship your denim (if ready) sans t-shirts. I reached out to Jannis after I saw their IG comment confirming the delay was due to the t-shirts. I essentially explained nicely that while the added t-shirts are great, I have way too many already and would just welcome my jeans if they can ship them sooner. I received a shipping confirmation this morning. Denim in route. It would be worth waiting for if they had something significant about them.

Say what you will about not being MiUSA. The quality is solid, sizing is pretty consistent, and the shipping is insanely fast.

Not a bad deal if their in house fit works for you, but after taking a look at the size charts, I would have to change up a few things, and with the added cost, would put them very similar to IH pricing. Gotta give them credit for offering so many heavyweight offerings though.

Gotta give them credit for offering so many heavyweight offerings though. The Slim Darryl fit is a really solid tapered fit. Works well on me. I did my first pair (Japanese broken twill) in a 33. I opted to do a 32 in the Black/Black since I always see a little extra stretch with wear. They sent me a 33 again. They clearly have my size on file or something. No worries, nothing an initial hot soak can't fix.

Just got my Slim Darryl IxI 25 oz kickstarter Sweedish. I have tried about 10 styles of Gustin and LD and these have absolutely blown me away. Very impressed.

I think I have that on the way with a couple "more wearable" pairs. I should be receiving that, the broken twill, and a pair I don't remember. Their slim fits are a bit too slim for me so I stick with the classic selvedge. If you get an inkling to share a photo of the fabric it'd be appreciated, but I'll have it soon enough.
