Sure will. I'll definitely be soaking these. First unsanforized for me. I used the charts from blue in green. Awesome man just want some pre/post reference. So I can have some soaking lee-way if needed Did a hot soak yesterday, bath water temp, 1.25 hours and air dry. The numbers came out very close to the blue in green fit charts. Any differences are probably in how I measured. 526ZR - 20oz - tag 36 Pre-soak W-18 3/4 FR -11 1/2 RR -15 Thigh -13 1/4 (12 3/4, 2" down) Knee -10 Hem -8 3/4 Post-soak W-18 FR -11 RR -14 Thigh -12 1/2 (11.5 -2" down) Knee -9.5 Hem -8 1/4 Inseam - 34 1/2

brentkuz did you want me throw up pre and post soak measurements of mine too, or were you only interested in the 526 cut that 61scout got? Mine are the 517 cut. Let me know man, I probably won't be soaking mine till Saturday.

i'd love to see everyone's pre-post soak numbers if they have them just as a data point against blue in green's one wash numbers. i realize there will be variances, but it'll be good data to have.

Is there a difference in how one should size for one wash vs unwashed? What is the difference? One is sanforized and one isn't?

Is there a difference in how one should size for one wash vs unwashed? What is the difference? One is sanforized and one isn't? Not necessarily sanforized, but the One Wash has been washed so you could treat them as "sanforized" in the sense that you don't have to account for shrinkage. Oni's Non-Washed sizes account for some shrinkage, e.g., the tagged 32 measures around 34.5" (i believe) before soaking, so that after soaking/washing you're looking at about 32.5" -33".

BTW benjaminpersitz, the PBJ XO11 that julian recommended to you looks like a pretty killer pair. My Iron Hearts are a left hand twill indigoxgrey just like the PBJ XO11's (only much heavier obviously) and they are looking to produce some great electric blue fades. I have no doubt those PBJ's will do the same. IndigoxGrey also looks pretty cool brand new as it has a slightly different shade to it than a standard indigo. It has almost more of a dark medium blue to it from the get go. I think those PBJ XO11's would be a good first pair for you.

Thanks Ickes. So it sounds like it'd be more fun to get a non washed pair. If I do that, I should size up, correct? I wear a G 31 slim with a tiny bit of stretch needed to get about a 32" waist. So for the PBJ non washed I'd probably want to get a size 30 (32.3" waist) or 31 (33.1" waist). Also, sorry to hijack the Oni thread with noob questions about PBJ -_-

My last four purchases have been unsanforized. What I would do is just look at the one washed fit guide and find the size that looks to best fit you, and then order that size in the Unsanforized. Does that make sense?

Hi Ickes, if you wouldn't mind, it'd be great to have your pre- and post-soak measures on the Onis. I believe you bought a size 33, I wear a similar size so would be very interested. Waiting for a restock in Japan to pull the trigger. Can't get that beige weft out of my mind! Enjoy your pants.

@david, gsg, and anyone else interested. Here are my pre-soak measurements of my Oni 517XXBE. I will also list the fit guide measurements from Blue in Green which is what I used to pick my size. I will soak these on Saturday so I will post these measurements again along with the post-soak measurements probably on Sunday. I used Blue in Greens method of measuring which is kind of a combination of Gustins method and Iron Hearts method. Waist is measured like Gustins, thigh and knee are measured like Iron Heart with the thigh being measured at the crotch and the knee being measured 13" down.
Blue in Green Fit Guide (Size 33):
WAIST: 35" FRONT RISE: 10.5" BACK RISE: 14.25" THIGH: 26" KNEE: 18" CUFF OPENING: 16" INSEAM: 36.75"
Actual Measurements Pre-Soak (Size 33):
WAIST: 35" FRONT RISE: 10.5" BACK RISE: 14.25" THIGH: 26.25" KNEE: 18" CUFF OPENING: 15.75" INSEAM: 36.25"
Pretty damn spot on and definitely within a .5" spec tolerance.

Marc - I hear you that tonal would be better for these but the texture and character is so unique on Oni's that I think you'll like them even with the contrast stitching. I also have many pairs of indigo and even though my 517's are also indigo, they're like nothing else. Sorry for enabling!

Those olive ones are great. I will likely get a pair if my size comes up. It's funny, but the stitching on my 575's is one of my favorite details. There are two different yellow tones, one for the arcuates, the inseam and some small details, then a darker one for the waist band, pocket border, etc. Then there's red stitching for the pocket seems and fly. And finally there's green for the bar tacks on the fly and pockets
Point is no one will ever notice this stuff but you, but it's an extremely cool detail and I'd imagine the olive has some similarly cool detailing. I was worried about the arcuates, but actually like them in person and they'll be a lot more understated on olive. If Rodeo Bros has your size, I wouldn't hesitate.
On another note, it was 75 here yesterday and my 22oz were surprisingly comfortable and breath better than my Oki's. Still warmer overall, but surprisingly comfortable in warmer temps.

As of yesterday, I am an official member of Club Oni. My 22oz Kabuki Vedge made it. No customs fees, either. Delivery took 8 days. A little longer than most reports. But, by no means unacceptable. They did come from half way around the world, after all.

So cool, the darker thread is close to tonal and I'd bet after a few washes it would be really close. Plus the lighter thread looks like a nice, subtle contrast.

Marc those Olive Oni's are bad ass! I personally love the fact they have contrast stitching. I would be all over them if they were in a 517 cut.

My 517's have two different colored threads going on as well and I didn't even notice this until I actually received them and opened them up. I love the look of it as they are both yellow/goldish tones like you mentioned but are off from each other just enough that you notice but it won't really stand out to other people.
