They're certainly priced like they're cool. Those natural 19oz are almost $700, at least from the one U.S. vendor the Googles sent me to.
The low tension look pretty darn cool though. I may have to seek a pair of those out.

I strongly support you, price is awfully high but their denim are incredible ! I have a N&F X Oni jean, and it's my best pair, i love all the imperfections on it and the fades begins slowly but like no other jean !

Yes either those or the kabuki vedge for me soon. Please let me know if they are stiff because they look to be soft for some reason in most of the fit pics i'v seen

julian Merry Christmas to you too my friend....and yes Santa was indeed very good to me. Dirty_Denim they are "mid crisp". Not heavy starch but the 20 Oz fabric is substantial. I'll get them back to California and do a full soak/pic/review here in a few days. I think I'm in danger of never taking them off once they get soaked and fitted up.

First pics of what Santa brought....Oni 527R's, 20oz low tension "secret denim". If I have a "grail" pair of denim, this would be it. I sized down on these because I hate baggy jeans and it seems that Oni's run a bit looser even in their slimmer fits. The waist is almost a perfect fit out of the bag and these are unsanforized, slubby, hairy monsters. Time for some participatory jean soaking. Pre/post soak fit pics and dumb jokes about taking a bath in my pants to follow.... Album: imgur.com/a/63euX

I love the brown wefts Oni makes as well as the 3sixteen brown wefts. That's what I was hoping the LD indigo brown wefts would b likee but they don't look as brown in the pics I've seen. May have to make the investment in the Oni's or 3sixteens

I'm trying to set a little time aside to soak in them. corrected. Yup, an hour in indigo stained hot water, three days of smurf balls.

ickes, the Rakuten elves made them. Check Rodeo Bros etc. They are avalable at many of the usual locations. Protip: use "denim demon" as a search inquiry. Oni is the Japanese word for Demon so the translation works out that way. Note...the Oni 527 is the secret 20oz Denim, the 527 R is the low tension version. Both are cool, just be sure you know what you're looking at as Rakuten is, as you know, fun with translations. They have them at Blue in Green as well but 300+ a copy. Rakuten was in the low/mid 200s

bentin go for it man. Rakuten is like Amazon except the receipts are funnier. Thanks Dirty_Denim, I keep looking at them. Just...staring ha ha. I'll need to soak them and wear them at some point but I need to just kind of take them in a bit first. It's a bit embarrassing that I'm talking about jeans like this but damn...I really like these. BTW the thing about your Father in Law on the other thread....that was f#*king funny.

Yup, an hour in indigo stained hot water, three days of smurf balls. "[You] have the weirdest boner right now." Obligatory wisecracks aside, those look pretty damn sweet. Like a monstrously beefcaked up version of the Gustin Antique Nep Blues.

Like a monstrously beefcaked up version of the Gustin Antique Nep Blues. My GF is both looking forward to the open ridicule session as I sit in the tub and dreading the endless X-rated smurf references in the following day or two. Good point on the look, the G antique neps are one of those "should have backed" pairs for me....

I can attest that the 20 oz low-tension denim is an amazing pair of jeans. Tried them on at Blue in Green, and am somewhat kicking myself that I didn't outright buy them. The Rakuten shops are all sold out, and I've read that Oni doesn't consistently produce, or at least reproduce product. Hoping they come back up on Rakuten - not fully convinced to pay $325 at BiG.
