got a brown slub chambray in today from the stock store. love the shirt. noticed that the left cuff was a little tight though...upon examination the first button on the cuff is completely gone and the second one was buttoned while the first (looser) one was buttoned on the right cuff. can't tell if it's worth complaining about or just spend the 5min sewing the extra one from the inner placket on and get over it. i'd be pretty miffed about that as well. i'd definitely shoot code a photo of the problem. i'd want some compensation considering you paid full price (+ stock tax) for a goofed up item. i wouldn't demand much, but some gesture to acknowledge it was faulty.

The Gustin Stock Store never made any sense to me. If it was just left over stock from production, I'd understand. But if they're adding faulty returns to the Stock Store, then that just devalues their brand. I keep seeing the same few denims ending up back in the Stock store for whatever reason, and there's absolutely no info on them so you don't know why.

I do think it is great if you find a style in your size of something you missed out on. I did find some rare finds that I pulled the trigger on and have been quite happy. Now I don't agree on the markup. Use to love the grab bag discount. I would say something. They will probably say send it back and we will replace but not worth the time and effort.

will send them a note and just ask for some replacement buttons so i can leave the two on the placket. it's just mind boggling that they're sending out problem pieces from the stock store.

That honestly seems a bit deceptive. I think it would take effort to do this as it would seem a little strange for whoever sewed them up to not wonder why one side had one button while the other had two when preparing the shirt for pack and ship. Did they expect you not to notice? Sure, it's something that anyone can fix with a needle and thread, but I think Gustin would be embarrassed if they knew your shirt went out that way.

Just posted this on the community forum, figured I'd share it here:
I just got the black/brown flannel and I like the fabric a lot. However, I noticed the alignment on the right cuff is far from straight and it's bothering me. I'm really not a stickler for stuff being out of alignment or anything like some folks around here (I've seen people crying about a couple mm of misalignment), because seriously, no one will ever notice that kind of stuff, but this is bad. The thicker light brown line (the most bold of the colors on the shirt) at the cuff opening actually wraps into the cuff because it was cut/sewn at a slant. The left cuff is sewn much more soundly (still a tad crooked, nothing to write home about) but doesn't line up at all with right cuff at all.
Not a big deal, really, but the first time alignment has really put me off. I'll probably forget about it in a month though, as the shit/fabric is really nice. C'est la vie.

troyh; I agree, the black/brown flannel is a very nice fabric. I wish Roman could get a hold of it.

No thoughts on the new denim arrivals? Recycled Italian? ickes! Brah it's your beloved grey ember and in a scarf no less! How could you not back one of those (especially for the one time when hell freezes over in Phoenix?)...

i'm half considering the scarf...i've always liked the grey ember flannel, but wished it was beefier. and the scarf should sew up straight. the army green duck chinos may also make the cut...wish i had the brown ducks already to know how the chino fit is.

Price is reasonable for what looks to be a fairly unusual material, too. My problem is that I'm already way over capacity on current and expected indigo jeans. Once all outstanding orders (Gustin and otherwise) are in, I'll be at a dozen. Which is getting a bit ridiculous. So I'm giving it a pass.

nice Mattbert. I absolutely love straight up, no nonsense, Indigo Cone denim. It's very simple, understated, rugged, with a certain industrial vibe IMO....and theres a certain shade of Indigo that is common among most of the Cone denims just looks excellent with standard brown/copper stitching, its freakin classic man. It's the Work Shirt of jeans. would consider backing them myself but I've got two pairs of Heavy Americans, two pairs of American classics, and a 15.2 oz cone coming from Roman. The a peach IDs look similar to the Heavy Americans IMO. Me thinks you will dig them Mattbert.

I'm still trying to figure out if Gustins responce, "I've literally never heard a customer ask for that", was sarcasm or not.?.?. i doubt it was sarcasm. back in the day people complained that the shirts were only designed to be worn untucked, and with the high scoop their standard cut shirt couldn't be worn tucked in. there have also been the requests for the tall cut shirts, since many couldn't wear the standard as it was too short. based on that, i'm guessing they actually haven't had many requests for a shorter cut on their normal shirts.

Watch out i got banned on instagram for questioning if the toat bag was full grain leather. I'm sure there was more to it than that. They deleted my question/comment about full grain. I posted must not be full grain guys as they deleted my question. Comment was deleted AGAIN then was banned from their instagram. I then saw this comment. Funny anderson joshua did not ask about leather just release date. But this was right after two comments taking in to question the type of leather used.

yeckel i'm sure the last thing they want is for you to even glance in the direction of one of their bags again. i'm sure you were as much of a red flag to them as any question you could have asked (more than once). i'm guessing they have a photo of you posted in the office like grocery stores that have photos of people who have bounced checks.
