Loopwheel garment is tricky and I saw some weird shrink on some of my friend's sweaters after a wash or two. It is kinda pricey too...

I am thinking of picking one up. I'm a medium/large in Gustin. Any suggestions on sizing?

Why is Strike Gold stuff so expensive? I think I saw a few of their sweatshirts selling in the $200-300 range, which I think costs more than Reigning Champ. I paid $89 for my RC full zip hoodie, but it was 50% off. Curious what makes SG more expensive than RC.

While shopping for IH engineers pants, on Rakuten, I took the liberty of knocking another item off the covet list. The Strike Gold SG2109. The infamous "mud" weft.....
Edit: opted for the non-wash

Not yet, not ideal timing for my summer, but on my list to buy. Conveniently the same price as the Rogue Territory and Railcar's I want for summer.

I found it while giving them consideration. I'm taking his advice on soaking them. I'm thinking about an hour at 45°C ought to do the trick.

Well, the SG2109 have arrived, and they are incredible. Slubby, hairy, perfect. Stitching is immaculate, much cleaner and more precise than my Oni's. The weft is definitely something to behold, IRL.
Unfortunately, there is one issue to deal with. The waist, thigh, cuff, and inseam are all within spec. They all fit as I expected. But, the knee came in .5" under. The knees are a bit snug, pre-soak, and I'm worried they may be too tight after. I could deal with them as they are now. I just don't know if I should risk it ??

I'd think they'd stretch enough, but just in case, what size?

I'd think they'd stretch enough, but just in case, what size? I'm tempted just to draw a warm bath, and have an ickes soak session for about an hour. Who knows maybe I've got the grail.....I don't think there is any chance of knee bags. They are size 36.

Perfect size, let me know if it all goes horribly wrong. This experiment, if I go through with it, will definitely require a rocks glass, a couple cubes, and a good bourbon. If it were to go horribly wrong, at least I will have lessened the blow.

I just wish I didn't have to go through the anxiety of the post-soak fit. But, as we know, loomstate denim is nothing less than an adventure.

For what it's worth scooter I think you will be fine post soak. Relax, pour your bourbon, soak in the tub with those bad boys and leave it in the hands of the denim gods. But seriously I think you will be good to go and they should fit you fine.
