I'd buy a pair of Cognac Dodgevilles but it doesn't appear they sell E widths for any boots in the 1892 line

If you don't like the captoe, you can get these for under 800 CAD, which is like free in USD. And the rest of the lineup.

Those two-tone Bullhide are great looking for sure... But at the moment, these Orange Horween CXL's from Nick's are my lusty thing...

Dont forget, you can custom order leathers from Nicks via. Bakers. But then you could end up like me, waiting for 16 weeks and probably driving Kyle crazy after dropping him a "this is another one of those any idea when my boots will be done emails". At least I waited a month from the last one. :-)

So, it seems that most guys have an affinity for brown boots here, as do I. Does anyone rock black? I'm eyeing a pair of boots for the upcoming year and was thinking I really should add a pair of black, but most of my stuff is browns. I know guys mix and match a lot more now, so I'm not worried about that, but being here in LA, when I go places, these folks love their black clothing...which is not my thing, sans a tux.

I've been dabbling it the black of late. Essentially, now that I think about it, my black denim was a grab bag surprise my gf picked up for me, and my black boots are another gf gift. The boots are a wingtip style. But I've been thinking about grabbing a black pair of work boots, maybe something rough out like these or even just a classic pair from some of the links above (maybe the Viberg or Nick's Americana in black). I've been pairing up some of my black with my #8/Cordovan/etc. colors as well. It's good to have options.

I have a black pair of the woolrich yankee (seem to have a profile similar to the beckman), but I always feel weird wearing black boots with anything other than black jeans. I just hate the look of black with navy/dark indigo. Brown just feels much more subtle with everything so end up being my go-to (but they look weird with black jeans). I'm pretty sure that's no help whatsoever, but I do wear black boots occasionally.

So I know you guys hate these, but maybe this pair with some brown rawhide laces will give me something of a compromise...mostly black, work-wear look, and unique. I welcome any opinions honestly as I love them and will likely do it anyway, but I also appreciate your thoughts here - well most of the time

I dig black, it goes with anything. Like brown, without the 'I'm a roofer with shoes that eat shoes' vibe.
Haha, and then you post those again. I honestly have started to like those, with the contrast stitching and no rivets. My issue is that I prefer wider looking boots to match my wider cuffs. If I'm wearing narrower cuffs, it's Indigo Transfer Time for my natural C70's.
