Are shorts a bad thing? Is this a style faux pas I don't know about? Because I rock the hell outta some shorts also come summertime.

I think shorts are only a faux pas on denim boards as I have seen declared "I don't wear shorts" in these parts. I got to wear some all last week so that was fun for me.

Oh okay, I'd likely turn all my jeans into jorts before giving up my shorts! Having grown up in the miserably hot south and investing in some sweet calf tats made me a lifer.

hopsbreath, do you have a wine campus oxford from Ratio? I was thinking about ordering one, but I don't think the color displays well on my screen. It looks more like a grey/brown, with very little red hue to it. I assume it is more red IRL?

I have the same fabric from Gustin, there are pics comparing the hunter, grey, and wine somewhere in the Gustin threads.

Wine really is an apt name for it. Paired with a dialed in fit, it might be my favorite shirt. It's a pretty good value to boot: get one.

Got in my first Ratio shirt yesterday, and can't say enough good about it. The fabric is top notch, and fit is spot on. Easily the best fitting shirt I own. I was able to tweak the measurements to what I wanted, and they delivered in spades. Split yolk, with a clean back with no pleats, and the shirt lays perfectly, with no puckers, or oddities. Their shirts have never seen water before, so I got a little indigo bleed after a cold soak. Now if they could only offer all types of fabrics, and weights, they would get all of my future business, lol www.ratioclothing.com/products/ouray-blue-and-brown-linen

Welcome to the club. That was the reason I gave them a try. I have found that linen makes a great warm/hot weather shirt as it is quick drying, and very breathable, but I found that a lot of the offerings out there are bland plain colors, or too bright for my tastes. Ratio has some good looking patterns that caught my eye, so it was a no brainer to try them out.

Speaking of gift credits, looks like I have $50 to gift as well. Just $48 for a custom OCBD with the credit. Hit me up if you've never used them, it only works for first time customers; one of my favorite brands to pimp!
Edit: just noticed they'll do a long point button down with an unlined collar as a standard option. Don't recall that being an option when I got my wine color but I might just need a blue one now.

hopsbreath and i have been talking, but wanted to get others' opinions. What have you guys chosen for length? Untucked or Sometimes Tucked? Mostly untucked with my work wear. Being thicker material usually (Flannel, Canvas, Twill) it much more comfortable. Usually only tuck if I'm wearing a Tie

Yeah, I rarely tuck. But I just wasn't sure what to expect the difference in length to be between the two options

Does anyone have any pictures of their shirts in the wild? I wish they had more modeled pictures on some of these flannel and monochrome options.

So I don't take a ton of pics but here's a couple that we're snapped of me in the Highlands chambray and the wine OCBD. The OCBD I'm really thrilled with and was the one I chose "sometimes tucked". The chambray I chose "untucked" and kinda wish I'd gone with the "sometimes" option as well. Originally I got the chambray with some button through pockets and they were just too small to be very practical plus the whole too many buttons issue with the button down collar as well. If I had to do it again I'd get it with a spread collar and a single non-buttoned chest pocket. Fabric is great though, it's really nice chambray. Edit: Ah nuts, looks like I'm having photobucket issues. What's a good photo sharing app these days?
