I have three pairs of Naked and Famous.
Duck Canvas Selvedge Arctic Selvedge (same as the Gustin's Japan GreyxGrey) Indigo Selvedge Chino
Quality is pretty good and the size is one size smaller than Gustin.
Thinking about the elephant 4 but need the fund to buy some Lawless shirts and vest.

I could go for a pair of jeans with denim like that. Sounds like they will have unique fades. From their website "Great color that will result in stark electric blue fades" I have wanted something like this or a black over indigo overdye in heavy denim.

check out rogue territory's "dark" denim releases: blueowl.us/designer/rogue-territory/their electric blue fade is really nice - been tempted to get these...waiting for another sale to come around on 'em.

Personally, I'm not really sure I dig the slubby/streaky look of those jeans. I would have to see a full jean shot. The color looks beautiful though.

Now that the price is out I would rather eat a shit sandwich than buy those. The fabric in a few pics is darker & some are more royal blue which eccentuates the streaks more. Def something cool about them but I do think N&F being what they are made them look more of a gimmick than the versions iv seen from say Samurai or Oni which look great

I just won an ebay auction for a pair of N&F Duck Canvas Selvedge, how do you like them? They're tagged 31 but measure 34" which was my experience trying them on at Nordstrom. Hopefully these scratch my itch for Carhartts with a tailored fit. www.ebay.com/itm/201183481939?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITI have three pairs of Naked and Famous. I really like it especially for warmer season. The fabric is not very thick and navy color looks very nice. I wear them mostly with my LTD721 boots and the selvedge line looks very sharp. I don't think it scratch much however.

I just got a pair of Elephant 3's that showed up on my doorstep this morning.
These are my first experience with N&F, and I must say, these are probably the pair of jeans I'll have the closest relationship with over the next year or so! The WG fit is spot on, and for my body type, definitely superior to Gustin's slim fit. Not quite as tight in the top block, but a little more tapered in the cuff. And the tinted- almost brown- weft of the E3's are damn sexy, not to mention the almost-black deep indigo color of the warp! The leather patch on the back is quality and thick (even if I do find almost everything about their branding far too juvenile for my taste). What I do miss is the red chainstitching that Gustin has for their contrast stitched jeans!

I have the Elephant 4's. Got em back in August. Those electric blue fades are starting to pop. They are 22 oz., yet they feel even more substantial. They're like armor. I have a pair of 23 oz. heavyweights from another company but the Elephant 4's feel even heavier. Beware that the slim guy fit is pretty slim.

My E3's Weird Guys fit almost identically to my Gustin slims- albeit a bit more tailored fit that I like more.

it's so strange...the WG is tighter for me in the top block than G's slim.

There's no better way to break in a pair of 19oz. denim than a Saturday of exploring in them with the wife, yeah? These aren't the best fit pics, but they give you a great idea of the E3s. The indigo color is so saturated it almost looks like a coated black pair of denim at this point. I'm looking forward to wearing the hell of out of these! My favorite of the Elephants right here. What are they like on? I mean comfort & wearability?

the fact that those elephants don't have contrast stitching makes me cry inside. It's downright criminal.

What are they like on? I mean comfort & wearability? Honestly, not terribly rigid for a pair of 19oz. raw denim, but not terribly soft so that you can't tell it's raw denim. Kind of a sweet spot in that regard- it's not like wearing cement, but I can tell I'm breaking in a sturdy pair of raws. And the fit of the weird guys is spot on, so I can't do anything but sing their praises. Honest to God, like Ickes mentioned, the only feature I'm not crazy about is the tonal stitching. And it'd be great to have red chainstitching on the cuff as well!

Today I lucked out and scored a pair of N&F green selvedge chinos in the weird guy fit for $36 at a consignment store. They're tagged a 34 waist and fit perfectly.
My question is, to cuff or not to cuff? Cuffing with denim is one thing but I'm curious how many people cuff with chinos? I ask because the inseam measures at 33" and I'll typically wear denim with. 32" inseam so I can do a single cuff. Since these chinos are raw I don't know how much the inseam will shrink if at all. So do I get the chinos hemmed at 32" so I can cuff, or maybe down to 30" and no cuff?
