So I found my size on Rakuten for a pair of Oni 517s but I don't know if they are one wash or not....damn.

ickes These are not washed and will shrink 4-6cm around waist and 6-8cm inseam. And don't worry I'm more of a relaxed fit kind of guy

Rodeo Bros is awesome. They do chain stitch hemming for free. All you have to do is include a not in one of the fields where you put the mailing address and other info.

Hey @stevekas how are you liking the fit on your 527's? Is there a reason you went with that fit and not the 517? I'm just curious cause I know you like a slim fit and although I'm not familiar with the 527 fit I know the 517 is real comparable to the Gustin Slim Fit.

ickes, I like the slim fit of the 527 and I sized down to a 31. My true ideal waist size is about 33.5-34 inches. I got the low tension secret denim version and assumed they would stretch after shrinking. Mostly I chose the 527 ZR because I wanted heavy low tension denim and that's what I could find at the time. I wouldn't have hesitated on the 517 cut in the same fabric. I see it this way, you can get them, assess in person and if you don't like them, flip them and try another pair. At these prices you could likely sell them quickly as there is a certain part of the population that won't venture into Rakuten purchasing, but a classified ad for a new pair of Oni at Rakuten prices....instant sale I'd assume. I might buy them lol....
