I just got my Oni 288ZR from VARI and got slapped with a $85 customs fees! On a $208 pair. I'm livid to say the least. Denim is quite beautiful and very nepy. I'll need to soak them as they are unsanforized to get the right fit. Oh bummer man. My Oni's are sitting at the post office right now waiting for me. I should be able to pick them up tomorrow. I hope that I don't get hit with a customs fee. |

I think it also depends on the retailer you buy it from. Some of them mark the product down like Rodeo Bros and some don't at all like VARI. I will keep that into account for my next order.

But, I haven't gotten any further updates. I'm hoping it was lazy Saturday for customs. Similar to me. I ordered 575's from Rodeo Bros on Thursday, shipped on Saturday and hung out in Chicago Customs Sunday and Monday and arrived here in Dallas today. Comically fast, well worth the $26 of shipping. |

Remind me, are you in the US? My quote said my Oni's at $220 with $26 of shipping should have $36.85 of import tax, your amount seems high for Japan to US rates. |

If Rodeo undervalues, it shouldn't be an issue. The flag is at $200' so it's only a minor change for Rodeo Bros to keep it off of their radar. Says the accountant...

Man my mom is from Montreal and her side of the family is all still in Quebec. I've been up a lot of times and the tax is insane.

Welcome to the Oni club Bentin. They're awesome. I got the one wash and need some stretch but that will come with time. The texture is nothing like i've ever experienced. My fullcount 1109xx passed through customs in 6 minutes - hope that means I didn't get charged. Should have them tomorrow.

They fit great out of the bag, I probably could have sized down one but that's okay. It's 80 here today and they really don't feel much warmer than my 7oz lighter Oki's. Rodeo Bros was great, stupidly fast shipping, great communication, hand written note and great packaging. This denim is great to look at but I can't get my iPhone to capture the detail and I'm stuck in the dark ages, my "real" camera is a Canon F1 that takes something called film. The madness!  |

These make me realize that I need some IH too. The top button is some sort of torture device. The cutout is about 20% too small and the back stud is about half the size that would prevent Mashed Thumb Syndrome. It's hot here, but imma keep these on since unbuttoning that fugger is going to hurt. So glad these don't have the pockets of the 575SV shown at Blue in Green, I was really worried after seeing those after ordering mine. |
