Didn't want to jump into the pomade thread. Thinking about changing my hairstyle up. Been doing the basic white boy flip the front since I was 13....now I'm 28. Basically just changing length of the cut but nothing else.
Was looking at the brad Pitt from fury cut. The two step undercut and other classic cuts.
I can't grow my hair long and sides need to be short by my works grooming guidelines.
What do you guys rock?

#3 on top (#4 in winter), #2 on back and sides.

#3 on the sides blended to med length on the top. Top is either point cut or I have them use texturizing scissors as I like texture on the top. I keep the bangs a bit longer than the rest of the top.

yeah, wish I had that problem DigDug. I dont let a hairstylist go within 10 feet of my head with thinning shears. |

If you're going to do a Brad Pitt in WWII movie hairstyle, my advice would be to go for "Inglourious Basterds" instead.  |

I always think about getting a more stylish cut, but end up going #2 on the sides faded to 1.25"-1.5" on top. I've had my eye on this hairstyle ever since seeing it on Thomas Ryman, the guy who built the Ryman Auditorium/Grand Ole Opry.  |

I rock the Great Clips $19 hair cut. My hair grows very fast and i'm grateful to still have a healthy mop top (my brother started losing his in his early 20's). Anyway, I used to get my haircuts at overpriced salons many years ago but I discovered that the quality of my haircuts via a salon were no different than a cheap chain 'salon' like Great Clips. My last haircut at an expensive salon I recall paying $40 + tip to the stylist (she was the least expensive). She completely butchered my hair. I never went back to trendy/expensive salons after that experience. If someone's going to butcher my hair i'd be more cool with it if I only paid $19 versus $40. I won't set foot in a barber shop because they only seem to know one style and that's the GI Joe crew cut. I think barbers are skilled at what they do but they're not stylists. |

Really a chain?!?! Come on, real men go to a local Barber. Sit and shoot the $&@! With the guys. Talk about Local politics/sports/Denim/Women/etc
Does your chain store hair cut use Hot leather shave cream and a Razor? Gotta have that..

Straight blade cuts are where it's at. Straight blade, no clippers, then the attack of the thinning shears. Topped off with a razor cleanup of the gorilla neck and a hot towel to try to fix the uglies.
Same hair cut I've had since college, when I cut off the collarbone length goofiness.
