I was going to get the 100 lug on my Nomads, but I also did not want 2 pairs of boots with the same sole. After riding my DR650 yesterday, I am glad I am going with the half sole on the Nomads. The lugs get 'stuck' on the pegs of my DR Something to consider for sure. When I was riding sport bikes, I wore a lugless type boot, but I have graduated to floorboards, so the lug soles are now a better option. This just shows that a guy needs a boot for every application, LOL |

This is a bike dependent concern for sure. I'll likely go half sole as well. The overall ergos on my bike as well as the footpeg/shifter orientation make lugged soles a bad idea. I'd be hanging up all over the place lol.
Looks like my future Nomads will have vibram 700s just like my semi dress.

I wear icon boots that I bought for 60$ padded, shifter pad, kinda like a vibram sole. I would never wear expensive boots on a bike.

is there a consensus on sizing on the semi-dress boot? (#55/semi-dress last)
i measure a 9 on a brannock, typically wear 9.5 in athletic shoes, 9 in most casual sneakers & dress shoes, 8.5 in wolverine 1k, and 8 in RW IR.
i had emailed baker's and kyle response was brief, but his recommendation was to go with my RW IR size.

I usually wear a 12 in most shoes/boots, and went with the 11.5 in Whites, because of the higher arch they are noted for. That said, I would go with Kyle's recommendation, as he knows the boot world, and if you purchase from Bakers, they guarantee the fit, so you really can't go wrong. Another thing you could do is to trace the outline of your feet, and send it to Kyle, and then there would be no guesswork at all! |

My White's Semi Dress are 8.5 the same as my Red Wing Beckmans if that helps. I wear 9.5 in your average tennis/street shoe. |

Cleaned the black and the smooth brown pairs. Applied a tiny bit of cream polish at the end and these turned out great with a nice shine.. Also anybody have some recommendations for some really good 44" flat waxed laces for the SDs?  |

since my leffotXalden indys came in borked (ended up with a refund), i think i'll be taking the plunge on some whites. thinking semi dress, but waffling between distressed smooth, #8 cxl, or navy cxl. currently leaning towards getting the #8 in a semi dress boot and distressed smooth (or natural cxl) in an oxford with a vibram 2021

megatron1505 don't you have a pair of white's oxfords? Were they baker's made by white's or white's hathorn, or something different? How have you liked them over time? Make-up (photos)?
