usctroll how the CF canvas compared to your Carhartt 12oz? Do you think they are the same? Mind take couple photos of the pants even they are just laying down?

Quick update on the pants. I think the CF slim could be considered somewhat slimmer than a Gustin slim and not for me. Additionally, they sewed up about like the size 30 on the fit guide. Going to try again, likely with a 31 regular fit. As far as the pants go I'm pretty much heartbroken that they don't fit. The construction is a definite step above my N&F and Carhartt WIP duck pants. If there's a better pair of non-denim pants out there for $70 or even $150 I'm not aware of them. I don't want to put too much of the fit on CF because it took me 3 pairs to find my fit with Gustin and I probably tried on half a dozen sizes/fits at Traveller. I'm awaiting an invoice for mine, so there a ways out, but I ordered the 905 regular fit, as now way I can wear pants considered slim. Without looking, I know the pair of Carhartt I used for reference were slightly vanity sized, as I believe the tag size on them is 33x32, but they measure 34x33. I wear a 33 straight in Gustin, but the Carhartts lesser inseam makes up for it because the crotch is lower. The CF 905 in tagged 32 measure up pretty much exactly to the Carhartt pair after washing, so assuming they are sewn up per fit guide, they should be spot on. Really want them in hand.

I might not make it to the post office today, and if I don't I'll take some pics of them side by side with the Carhartt selvedge duck. To my eye it looks a little lighter and more coarse than the standard Carhartt duck used on their double knee pants.

thanks for the brief words on fit and construction. re: fit would you say they came in to spec with the fit guide other than waist? did you simply choose a size, or had you requested customizations? They were about 1" under in the thigh and 1.25-1.5" under in the waist. Possibly cut from a 30 slim pattern by accident.

I wish people would post pictures of they have a pair of ciano farmer jeans or pants. Thank See that five pocket pair on page 1 and 2? They look exactly like that in real life. I will get some comparison shots with the Carhartt selvedge, though.

Detail shots showing the next level CF finish out compared to Carhartt. I like the oversize bar tacks on the Carhartts, but like the CF tag and pockets better. And while the Carhartts are obviously selvedge I'm more impressed by the dual taped seams and contrasting chain stitching on the CF ducks. Oh, and these are pain in the ass to find euro Carhartts that retailed at $145.

I actually ordered the chinos once I saw the corozo button option. i may change it to a 5-pocket before i get invoiced though...like the thought of a 5-pocket with slightly contrasting thread like ivory or white.

I went with the chino, since I have the weight spectrum covered in denim, and want a more comfortable fit in a chino than what Gustin offers. Went with the corozo button also. Nice! Since the fit is the same, if I like the chino fit, I'll go with an 18oz. 5 pocket. Any takers on the 30oz. Bull?

I'd go with five pockets. It seems weird to have such a rugged ocher duck fabric in a chino pant. Maybe a dark brown or green in a chino.
I have some 30oz on the way along with my replacement 12oz five pockets.
