Just posting some progress pics. Got about 50 wears in these X016 (16oz) 50 wears?! Didn't you just buy them? I feel like it hasn't been that long. I've gotten zero wears out of my denim so far this summer. It's been all chinos and shorts. |

Yeah your right. Got them early May, I was thinking I got them early April. So make that 30 (give or take) wears.

My X012 are a pretty unique Cone Mills and I feel like they give up the indigo pretty easy.
I don't really care about "sick fades" but I think overall they're going to fade really nicely

DigDug - Assuming that little bulge at the hips is slash pockets, I think that's a great looking jacket. I could never bring myself to wear a jacket with only chest pockets.

picked up a pair of the spikes x023 and got them this week. wore them for a bit yesterday. really like the fit from the thighs down. the top block suffers a bit from saggage, similar to the G slim. just a bit too much material in the crotch. gonna ride 'em out and see if that's just something that needs a break in.
i was more concerned with the fact that they're supposed to be made from a pure indigo dye and there's no bleeding. first pair of japanese denim i've received that i can't get some bleed onto my hands when first handling/trying on. hope that's not indicative of a non-fader.
the blue was also a bit lighter than i expected - reminds me of G's union blue. it's nice to have for the variation though and it has a really good old school vibe to it.

bugula yeah, I took a look at those Natural Indigo's, but the pics just looked a little off in color for me. I have the 16oz, so it took a few weeks for them to settle into place.

Natural indigo, from what I've read, isn't as deep a shade of blue, and casts more green. I've never looked into why, so it may not be real. |

As far as Fit, "If It Doesn't Fit You Must Acquit". Good rule to have when it comes to Pricey Denim.
That's why I'm not wearing any IH. They just dont seem to have a fit that i like.
I'd put the Spike fit right in between the Gustin Slims and Straits. Not for everyone.

What I would do with those Natural Indigos... I'd wear them for 20 or so times (let the creases set), then wash them after every other wear.
Go for that washed out fade.
I'd think how the Natural Indigo fades is different and would make for something looking then every other pair you or us have.

If you can tell the brand name from the patch you have just made a potential customer aware of your brand. |
