Thanks but they aren't anything like the Road Champs or Lofgren as 'style'. I got them mostly for riding my motorcycle, then transitioned to daily wear. I recently picked up a pair of Lone Wolf engineers that are a bit more '1950s' I think

I got a pair of these on Rakuten. They're beautiful. Can't wait for the Australian summer to finish so I can give them some wear.

My MF Troopers .... haven't been broken in yet, gonna do so this year. I love these boots. I'm still divided on doing the otter wax (on the canvas), or not ..... anyone else have a pair? I seem to recall @untucked mentioning he did a while back (on instagram maybe?)

No, but I wish I had a pair! I don't understand why they aren't on a production schedule like the road champs. Absolutely gorgeous boots

How long have you been sitting on these? And, are they a size 9? Lol!

highlights - I tried on the Appaloosa shirt at the MF shop here in LA. Absolutely amazing. There is something about the MF materials that have to felt to be appreciated. Fits very much like a Japanese brand shirt (shorter length and sleeves) than compared to Gustin workshirts for example. I ended up getting the Garrison shirt as there were only a few left but I have promised myself the Appaloosa shirt is my next indigo denim shirt. @untucked FourHorsemenYes! So jealous... These are on my dream list I did pick up a caban peacoat in December that I absolutely love as well

I regret not getting it - my fave olive workshirt - even though its price converted to 500 Aussie dollars (+ postage), lol. For sure, high quality's always worth it. Your words confirm my need to get a little Mr Freedom in the next year or 2. GREAT stuff.

highlights Ouch on the US to AUS conversion! Agreed on the goal to slowly add more MF gear over time. That's my goal as well. Fewer smaller purchases to save up for a couple big ones... Now I just have to stop the smaller purchases! I think it was mentioned previously in this thread but the garrison shirt does have a large upper sleeve design. It was one of those details that didn't stand out to me when I was trying on the shirt at the MF store but became more pronounced as the material softened and draped more naturally with wear. This may not be a big deal for most but I don't have large upper arms / biceps, I wear skinnier pants and like the slim look so I didn't like the look of the big upper sleeves on me. I ended up taking the shirt to a tailor to have the arms slimmed. Because of the intricate placket design on the shirt, slimming the sleeves wasn't simple and was even decently expensive. I did it anyway since this is my favorite shirt. It is perfect now but it was expensive to begin with and now I have spent far more on it than I would have ever imagined spending on a shirt a year ago! Ha! I have the midnight twill version but the olive is equally amazing... Maybe more so as it is so unique. I just wanted a shirt to work on some fades over the winter.

Garrison looks pretty slick. Rakuten only has medium however, and I need it in large. Boo.

Agree, for sure - it's worth going the extra mile w/ fave clothing to get a great fit. Like you, I'm also gonna be even more focused on more quality & less purchases in 2016...stronger, wiser. lol...but definitely love the quality & cuts & wanna pick up some Mr Freedom. Totally share your enthusiasm for great fabric. Saw this re. Christophe Loiron: "I make exactly what I want and do not depend on orders, demand or trends. I take risks. If it works, it works. If it doesn’t, then I have plenty clothes to wear!"

How heavy & rigid is the fabric? There's no weight listed on the website, but it looks quite heavy in the photos.

Fabric has a soft feel to it. It is 8 Oz.

I just want to take a quick moment to give a huge kudos to the MF customer service team. I just recently placed an order for the Campus Jacket, and noticed there was no expedited shipping option. I really wanted it to be expedited so I can have it for my upcoming trip. I contacted the guys there, and they told me they don't know the rates and whatnot, but they would take it to the post office and figure it out ASAP, and charge me later for it. Now, a day later, it's already made about 30% of its journey to me.
Small gesture, but huge as far as customer service goes, it's what makes people WANT to shop with a brand

Damn. Rad.
Assuming the trip will kick-off the tanning/wear-in? Someplace sunny right now maybe?
Excited to watch the aging/wear-in...

I'll be spending a week trolloping through mainland to celebrate my birthday. Weather is nice (Cherry blossoms just bloomed) so I should get some good wear.
