He makes some awesome stuff. Expensive to me, but not compared to other high end stuff. I feel that it'd be worth saving up for an article of his clothing, I can't get that denim peacoat out of my mind.

Yes def a bit more pricey than some of the other brands out there but when u think of Jcrew selling a pair of selvedge chinos for over $200 I think paying $350 for these isnt that bad.
Mister Freedom at one point actually sold some items through Jcrew including the Pea coat.

If you want to take the sting off of Mister Freedom prices, go to Rakuten. I think all of the non-Made in the US pieces are produced by Sugar Cane.
I just bought the Yellow Watchman jacket for $277, nearly $180 cheaper than buying from the MF website

Far less substantial than I expected, but still a GORGEOUS piece!!! Also, I don't have much space for shrinkage either.... I'll just have to wax her up and never wash!

Rakuten is the way to go. I picked up the MF's Mechanic Utility trousers on sale for $151, down from $399 - came to £107 including P&P to the UK. Really looking forward to getting them. Unfortunately, they'd all sold out in all sizes by this evening, otherwise I'd be telling you all to grab a pair! global.rakuten.com/en/store/woody-h/item/sc41346/

The fabric looks dreamy.

I have a pair of the denim/denim board shorts that I have been wearing on the weekends for a couple months. I have liked them just fine but finally wore them hiking and swimming in and around the Yuba River in Northern Ca. They were completely transformed after just one week of real river action. I wore the shorts everyday and really abused them. I slid down rock waterslides, scooted along cliff edges and scraped along the river bottom in rapids. When I would slide down a rock into the water, there would be an indigo trail on the rock where I slid! The shorts absolutely came alive... They are now soft and a real pleasure to touch and wear. They wore in and faded beautifully. I am really digging them!!

MF's stuff seems to be made specifically to look their best once you've kicked seven bells out of it. Can't wait!

I think I might have stopped into his shop a few years ago while in Los Angles, Does his store have little areas set up like, "The military clothing" "French Retro" American Work Wear" American Western" clothing displays? I do remember loving the quality of fabrics and sewing. But could not afford prices of the clothing the time.

Yes, that sounds right. I love the fact that the guy is getting the cloths he uses made for him, and that his QC is so high, but you just know what it does to do to his prices. It's the reason I jumped on these, tbh, as I knew it's unlikely that I'd get the chance to pick up something new from MF for this price - second hand stuff in my size rarely pitches up on eBay too. The fact that they were sold out within hours of going on sale just shows how much of a bargain they were.

Jeans arrived last week. Extremely pleased with them, especially as I got them half-price. As per all MF's denim, it required a bit of shrink-to-fitting, but nothing to traumatic and they look the biz. The denim's really interesting: 9.7oz, with a grey-blue cast to it and a white selvedge. MF get this stuff made up themselves, based on original period samples from 50s. After rubbish experiences with LVC and Lawless (surprise, surprise) I'll be keeping an on Rakuten for future bargains.

The cut is "interesting", but I will make it work. I've already got some great pairings in mind, once the weather cools down!
