I don't wanna wear synthetics. Don't like 'em. Thanks though, my man. And I always wanna look pretty. Sheesh. DUH. If I'm exercising, cotton is on vacation. It gets hot here and humid. Cotton is stupid in that weather. But so are chinos, carry on. If you're exercising in chinos, you're doing it wrong.

Got it. Technically it says "Cramerton Cotton Twill". Tricky bastards! So it could be made by anyone. Also stone washed. How about Buzz R?

I picked up a pair of the Duck Heads off e-bay last year, and for the $29 bucks, and free shipping, they were a steal. I wanted the khaki color, and they were out of my size, but picked up a pair of stone (off white). They are $135 retail from Duck Head direct, and feel they are overvalued at that price for sure. The Buzz Rickson chinos are heavier weight, better construction, and a definite step up IMO

I am eagerly awaiting the restock of the cramerton selvedge twill chinos from Bravestar. Made and sourced in USA. I emailed Bravestar and the restock is supposed to happen in February. You can sign up on their site to receive an email when the restock happens. And only $89!! Others have mentioned Ciano. I wish he did twill too. I do have his 12oz ochre canvas chinos and they are awesome. Four-five month wait tho.

Yeah, I have the indigo and the ochre coming from Ciano also. And I have the desert tan and the brown canvas chinos from Gustin. And in case I somehow miss out on the restock, davelewis, do you think the Buzz Rickson material is reproduction Cramerton, or some other heavy twill?

I'm also curious about the made in the USA dockers K-1 Cramertons. If you can find a pair, those are supposedly pretty good.

Several months ago, I had discussed with Ciano, the possibility about sourcing some Cramerton, or like twill. He did show me a selvedge twill he had in brown, that was kind of like a herringbone, in look, and had a texture to it, but I opted to pass on it. He might still have some of that, and if interested, give him a call. I've got a few pairs of his duck chinos, and think they are great, especially with the choices you can make to them.

And in case I somehow miss out on the restock, davelewis , do you think the Buzz Rickson material is reproduction Cramerton, or some other heavy twill? I had the same question a while ago, and contacted Charlie at HP. He told me that the twill Buzz uses, is a repro of the material that they used back in the 40s, and they go through great expense to duplicate it, but didn't draw a relationship to Cramerton. While I'm sure there was some salesmanship involved, I have to say they are made with more attention to detail, are very substantial, and look and feel better than most any other modern chinos around. I would also add that the Buzz chinos are not slim fitting, by most standards, and a lot of us here wouldn't care for, but I like at least one pair of chinos, that just have that relaxed fit and feel to them, and they fit that bill in spades. They were around $85 dollars off of Rakuten, and was thinking of maybe picking up a pair of beige, to go with the khaki.

Grown and Sewn? I'm pretty much only MiUSA and this fits the bill. I don't have a pair, but there is a grey selvedge that has been calling my name for awhile. A little spendy.

I consider myself pretty much a made in USA guy, and do my best to support US manufactured goods. That said, being inspired by some of my enabler buddies here, I have ventured a bit into made in Japan goods, and have found that when prudently shopped, I could find goods at a better price, and better quality, with most importance being quality. I tend to stick with heavyweight gear, and it seems that US shops have difficulty with this, so it forced me to gravitate elsewhere.

While I normally wouldn't back Dockers, their rare K-1 Cramertons are fully MiUSA, which is why I'm interested in them. I also wanna track down those James Bond Quantum of Solace Levis 306 Sta Prests. Sharp.

I'm really thinking about the buzz chinos in the slimmest fit they offer. $89 and they look great. Trying to hold back.

My preferences are goods made in the US, Japan, Canada or England. It really depends on the product. I think Japanese made goods are at the top as far as quality goes, but most of the brands from Japan don't make bigger sizes to accomodate Westerners, probably because they fill a niche market. Also, a lot of the brands we like, like 3sixteen, Rogue Territory, Gustin, etc., all use fabrics from Japan. But, there are some American companies I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, like Allen Edmonds.

I like arbitrary hatred as much as the next guy (looking at you, buffalo plaid, VAT and crooked shirts) but why the AE hate? Decent GYW construction, some US finishing and Horween leather. For the money, there isn't really a good comparison. I've largely migrated on from buying new ones, but still have three pair that should last me to retirement.

PM me the price, if you could! FWIW, the cone looks like canvas, not twill. I don't see twill lines. But I may be blind/stupid.

The BR look pretty nice. Good thing I don't need khakis. Price on their site is $110 inc shipping, comp to rakuten. The only thing killing it for me with Ciano is the wait time. Just can't do it. Too impatient.

I saw a thread about AE production and the CEO joined in and was very open about their practices. It's adapt or die. Would people really rather see them close down? They employ Americans and make a good product.

Always looking for interesting brands, I've ventured into Chinese and now Indonesian. Just got a custom pair of black X black denim from Indonesia in 10 days for $100 total
