Oh and we will be vanity sized. As of right now a 32 will measure 34in roughly and a 36 will come in at 38. Thats what we are going for with these 1st round of jeans. I will tweak it as needed until we settle on a final for launch As much as I don't like it, I think it's wise since people in general have a severe aversion to measuring devices and believing the numbers they're marked with. Agreed. Its also good for shrinkage as even sanforized denim shrinks . We denim lovers dont have the shrinking problem as much because we shy from water for so long. The normal everyday denim shopper wash their jeans fast and furious and witness shrinkage we never knew existed. So they would likely buy a 32 which will come in bigger and shrink down a size. I also thought the TTS thing was ridiculous. Why change something that worked for so long

http://instagr.am/p/58ImaNtciO 1st sample. We are using 2 different thread colors . What we know as a topaz and copper and then a 2nd combo of indigo thread and topaz in certain areas around the front Loving what I'm seeing so far Sal. I LOVE the look of two different thread colors in the stitching.

TY I love 2 thread colors. They happen to go really well together. We are toying with a bunch of things right now with the next few weeks being the design & detail stage of our jeans. Not saying we are going to try to change the wheel but dont want to pass up on an opportunity to make something different looking

As of right now I like the idea of stamping the pocket bags That's something I've always really liked. It gives a real perception of the jeans having been handmade, especially if the stamp also includes the waist size. In fact, if you're running a fairly small units operation, what is very cool is to have the final sewer sign and date a pocket bag with a permanent marker. I've got a couple of pairs like that and it gives an hugely personal feel to the jeans. In the overall scheme of things, I can't see how doing it would add more than 20 seconds to the overall construction time.

If I know who a pair of jeans are going to I may write something like ' I know where u live, HIDE" or "Stop wearing ur work shirts in the car and wear them to work" lol

Ok i got 2 pairs done for me. Both are samples of our skinny and slim straight cuts. THEY BOTH FIT DAMN AMAZING. The Indigogene skinny cut are so damn good on. I'm a husky guy who can't pull off skinny jeans ever but these look so sexy. The slim straights are slim but comfy.
I'll get some fit pics up later today as they need to be hemmed. Oh and the slims will have a back pocket design I had done for my personal pair just to toy with is a bit. The denim on both are 13 oz as well

So excited that these hit the mark in fit right off the bat. We may tweak still but these are close to perfect

Having a canvas denim tag sewn on to my jeans which may make it into production. Looks pretty cool. matt and I were discussing this yesterday and it looks pretty nice against the denim

http://instagram.com/p/5-dVqUNctp Ill get some fit pics up shortly. As iv said these are samples made for me but have details that will make it into production in one way or another. The back pocket stitching i know is not what most like but its something we are messing with for certain denims.

I like the back pocket stitching. It's simple, brand noticeable. As long as you stitch it with a light/thin thread. You could even use a blue/tonal thread. It may fade differently, giving a nice transformation from not that noticeable to being noticed.

Dirty_Denim - the fits look great. If you're sticking with those fits, would you mind posting up the measurements (or maybe just the delta between skinny and slim fits)? Also, they've been talked about recently, are those your Thursday diplomat boots?

I am noticing my design details look to be a lil on the clean commercial side. WHat do u guys think? I know with certain denims we plan on making them look a bit more workwear related but these came out great in my eyes. The tags were a detail we thought would make for some cool looking jeans without changing angles of pockets or anything

The Canvas Patch..... It's not a big deal to me as I put my belt over it and mostly keep my shirts untucked covering it . But a lot of guys really love having a nice stamped/branded Leather patch. It may turn some away, even having some think you cheeped out (sorry). I do look at my patches to help quickly identify my jeans. Maybe if it was an option to have a choice of a dozen colored/patterned fabrics. So now a guy can quickly look at his 10 pairs of Indigogene's and know buy the colored patch he chose which one he's grabbing. A perceived negative (for some) into a positive.
