According to Giles they will be running this shirt again and will be releasing a Charcoal WS version in the future as well. This is very pricey for a 9oz shirt but Giles stated that for whatever reason this fabric is insanely expensive.
EDIT; If/when they run the shirt again they will do a western and WS version in the Olive and a western in the Charcoal.

It's just a bit too olive drab and army surplus for my tastes, especially at that crazy price. Maybe the photos don't do the herringbone effect justice, as that'll be what makes it stand out.

Even the charcoal doesn't work for me, when I thought it might. I've seen better, more pronounced herringbone with G and CF, but again, it might just be the photographs to blame.

Love the fabric. Classic, substantial weight, Olive Drab goes great with a pair of jeans. But the Western cut I find to be odd.

I don't know anything about the cotton they use for this, but it gives pause when Giles says the exorbitant cost is because of how expensive the cotton is. Sure it's not because it's IHUK?

No doubt, especially for the price difference. I actually looked for one a while back, but the XL that HP has is too small, and they didn't have any XXLs.

I remember seeing this as a coming soon item and my first thought was - not for a western shirt, the two don't go together at all.

Ha, that reminds me of when I worked on railway projects. One nighttime job was particularly popular, because late each night after the guys started work, a certain female resident next to the track would perform her own private and very personal exercises with the lights full on, knowing full well that she had an appreciative audience of many railway workers. I'm guessing productivity on that job was lower than normal

I buy what I like, and I LIKE THIS. I was worried that I would sleep through the release, so the G man set me one aside for me to order when I woke up this morning. Earth tones and military-esque clothing are my "thing", so this fits right in.
It's pricey, but it's different enough from other offerings in the past that I would REALLY like to have one in case it's never offered again. And, at VERY least, I'm helping out the guys who want to see it released as a boxy, billowy workshirt.

The shade of green is what's throwing me off on this one, but that could be the lighting in the pics. The green has too much yellow in it I think, I was hoping for more green. The sizing does look good though, good measurements. I'm curious to see some fit pics when you and the IH forum guys get theres.

This fabric costs IH a fortune. IHJP isn't even accepting this fabric because of the extreme cost to IH.

This fabric costs IH a fortune. IHJP isn't even accepting this fabric because of the extreme cost to IH. Price isn't the main problem I have with it. Just its use on a western. It demands a work/military style. But if fabric cost is the issue they should be better about explaining what makes it worth the up charge. And why you should want to buy it.
