I could care less what IHUK or anyone charges for their goods. The real debate is should such a Great looking fabric be made into a Western!? I just can't bring myself to wear western shirts. Just don't see anyone wearing them in New England.

There's no reason to not make anything into a western, but I will say this one is pretty subtle given the pattern alignment throughout. As subtle as a herringbone twill can be, anyway.

The reason it was made into a western is that is what we were specifically requested to make. We made a sample out of a similar fabric a few years ago that never made production, people have been rattling my cage about releasing it ever since. When we released work pants in this fabric last year, the cage got rattled harder....
I may release a work shirt version in the olive and I may release a western in the charcoal....

I love it and I think it'll look great in charcoal. In a couple of weeks, once the retailers have had there's and seen how sales go, I will ask for interest in a work shirt version in olive and a western in charcoal....
Oh, there is another reason we don't make so may work shirts as westerns. Globally, westerns sell 3:1 in favour of work shirts.....

I think I read you saying that before. Outside of Japan, westerns sell like hot cakes. In Japan, they love the work shirts.

Haraki releases more westerns, than works. For instance he does not sell IHSH-75, IHSH-133, IHSH-95 etc etc.....

Love the fabric and like the look on you @untucked . Just because I personally dont like to wear westerns or snaps doesn't mean I don't like seeing them on others that can pull it off. Looking good!

For me the westerns are "Ok". I mean, they look GREAT, but it's not my favorite design. When I stepped in front of my 6ft. bedroom mirror this morning, I realized that this shirt looks a lot less western than some others... Looks very military, and I like that! For me, the perfect shirt would have the Western silhouette, no scallops, and straight pocket flaps. Buttons instead of snaps. THAT shirt would kill it for me! But, it's not out there.
This same shirt in khaki and brown would be INSTA-cops for me... Not sure about black yet.

I wanted it so bad but no, I thought they were gonna drop those green/black blue/red heavy flanels and didn't have the funds for everything, and then I forgot about it but when you posted that pic I remembered how nice it is.

I wasn't really diggin this shirt but man It's slowly growing on me. Same. My other option might be the Buzz olive herringbone workshirt. Instead of a western similar fabric for realz.
