Got a shipping notice for my Truman's today. Imagine I'll have something to report back by mid next week. When did you order your boots, trying to see if I will get them in time for my bday in a couple of weeks?

Truman's arrived today. I think from order to door took around 9 weeks. I was hoping for less, but am not overly disappointed with the timeframe. My make up was: Black Waxed Flesh size: 9 vamp: Plain Toe toe construction: Structured pull tab: Remove Pull Tab hardware: 4 Eyelets 3 Speed Hooks hardware color: Antique Brass Sole: Dainite Studded For reference I wear a size 8 RW IR, 8.5 W1k, and 8.5 Alden Indy. Currently own the RW IR, returned or sold the others for various reasons. The packing from Truman was very basic. A plain brown box with boots inside along with an extra pair of laces (round brown waxed) and a cotton tote bag. I'd rather have the tote than a traditional shoe box, so I find the packaging more than adequate. The boots are very well constructed, no issues that I've noticed. The black waxed flesh is smoother than I had expected, but imagine that it will age amazingly well as it starts to get roughed up with eventual brown spots showing through. I was really worried that they would be overly snug to begin with. I've had a small injury leaving my left foot a bit swollen, but both boots slipped on relatively easily for being new/stiff. Snug, but not overbearingly so. The fit is pretty spot on right now, hopefully perfect after a few weeks of break-in. Photos

Really think these look great and glad they are working out better than the Leffots.

Unstructured will start off a bit lower profile and will eventually collapse a bit over time.

I have been tempted to buy these. I would buy the structured as well. I hate the look of a collapsed toe.

I'd like to see a pic of how those buzz Dickson whiskeyriver picked up are looking after some use, as they are also an unstructured toe. I love the low profile, but ice also seen some awful looking wrinkly-toe boots.

I checked when I was shopping mine because I thought they were unstructured as well. I like that their structured toe isn't quite as pronounced/boxy as some can be.

When I ordered my Whites last year my intial build was a 2 tone bison with the vamp being Bison and the upper being a lighter tan. I almost ordered the Epaulet Bison shoes but they look just a bit too chunky for me. Those Bison are very pretty, but I think I'd prefer that blue CXL build with the captoe as my favorite Truman build I have seen. What I really like about the coyote roughout is their durability and weather resistance.

They look wild, but that's a boot I'd buy if I had everything covered and just wanted another fun boot because I have too much disposable income and don't know what to do with it. Basically, I'll never buy it, but damn does it look sick. Same with these Vibergs.

Truman dropped a new boot Dark Olive. Looks a little natty, and very nice.

The more I look at Truman the more I like them. Would like them more with a 360 welt. Style and construction seem to mimic Viberg, fair amount less and some cool looking leather.

Boot 3 is my size but: Unstructured, speed hooks, D width, Daitante sole. I'll just pay the extra $60 and get what I want.

I like the idea of red stitching. I was a little pissed that Whites would not do black thread on my Semi Dress outsole. Made sense to me because it would hide dirt. Anyways, was just at Bush Gardens last week and told the Mrs. "I know where to get shoes made of those things". Hah.

Truman Boots is offering black kudu. Looks like an awesome black boot. Also, someone on GYW was the one who got in on the navy chamois. m.imgur.com/a/TFbEo

What kind of boot doesn't go outside? Do you work at the Pentagon? Professional bowler? Groundskeeper at an indoor football stadium?

Some MTOs go for $500+, especially the rarer leathers like Natty CXL, and the Natty CXL isn't even being offered atm. And I'm assuming he means he has only tried them on inside, and not worn them outside the house yet. Also, he posted them on Reddit GYW B/S/T, and says he'd rather sell them to a GYW Redditor, so I'm guessing there's room to negotiate on these. Probably could get them for $450 shipped.

Look great, but I think I'll save my bones for the $100 cheaper Rancourt Hamiltons in Essex. I think I prefer the look of aged/patinad Essex to CXL Natty.
