The captoes on the right are nice. I'm still mystified as to why Alden doesn't make this style of boot as a regular offering in their line, like the Indy boot.

Just got my 403's cxl in. Awesome man. They are my favorite boot. Really can go dressy and casual. Love them

I've been looking around for lots of sizing suggestions but I'll ask here. I'm looking at a pair of 405s. I wear 9.5 RW IR and their heritage line oxfords. I also wear a 9 in wolverine 1ks. I tried 9 in RW and I could pull them off but we're a little tight in the width. I'm thinking I can do 9 in Alden's. Any insights are appreciated!

Any insights are appreciated! i'm a 9d measured on a brannock. my wolverine 1k morleys are 8.5, RW IRs are 8, and when i tried on the indys the 8.5 worked best (and is what i'd order if i see any natural cxl w/commando soles pop up) |

@wils it was the combo of commando sole and natural CXL that got me to jump in on the Leffot's version. Now I need to stop. Beckmans, Courtlands and Indys should be enough boots.

@wils it was the combo of commando sole and natural CXL that got me to jump in on the Leffot's version. Now I need to stop. Beckmans, Courtlands and Indys should be enough boots. I like the one you have ordered except I already have cxl natural leather in OSB. The price is also a bit on the high side for me to cop a non shell boots. I am going to wait for a pair of brown Shell Indy that have the commando sole in the $600 range... |
