Didn't know which thread to put this in so figured it should have its own. I know TS only has a couple of denim offerings but from what I've seen they change it up every so often with different fabrics.
To start though I had a question related to the evolution of their denim releases. Perhaps some of you can chime in. I recently bought a pair of NWOT TS black selvedge denim but it appears to be an older variant. The leather patch is your standard veg tan variety but it's the smaller square version as opposed to their current rectangular version. I have no idea what fabric it's made with, where from or the weight. Do any of you own any of their older denim releases? Got any info?

Ok, my Google-Fu skills yielded the following: Taylor Stitch did in fact release variants of denim from Cone Mills and Nisshinbo Mills. My guess is the version I bought is from Nisshinbo Mills and is 13.5oz.

I was way off. I emailed TS and they told me the black denim which was offered prior to their current Italian black selvedge was from Kurabo Mills. When I googled it all I could find was the Brenham which is a non-selvedge version.
Anyone else own TS denim? I don't see many of you talking about it so I'm curious how the quality/fit matches up to other brands

alright, nerds. I took delivery of my TS selvedge denim purchase from Fleabay and i'm very pleased. I paid $56 shipped and the quality seems pretty darned good. They were listed as black raw selvedge but when I held it up in natural sunlight it looked like an overdyed indigo (dark indigo warp/white weft). The weight feels substantial and I'm guessing they're 13.5oz. The jeans were tagged 33/34 and they fit my 35" waist perfectly. Now I just have to get them hemmed and i'm good to go.

Candiani chambray 9oz pants arrived. These are awesome sauce. The patch is 1000x thicker than the chambray material, it's awesome. My first pair of TS pants and the 33 Democratic fit was spot on. These will be great pants when the temperatures rise again; perfect for the beach. The pockets are ginormous, which I love since phones just keep getting bigger. Das Photos: PS: working from home is awesome.

I'll take more careful measurements other than "can my fat ass fit in them" before I wash them.

the chambray pants do indeed look nice. that leather patch looks like a thick slice of bacon. Mmmmm, bacon.

Finally got my TS jeans back from ABFits and thought they did a good job. I should've soaked my jeans first to get the shrink out but it's too late for that. Guess I won't be washing them anytime soon.
Anyway, for $56 I like what I got. It's a tad loose in the top block but I did lose 5lbs recently and always wear a belt. The quality seems decent but my only problem is that this sucker bleeds like a stuck pig. I sat on the toilet seat to tie my shoe and when I looked down there was indigo dye smeared all over the seat. Other than that, I look forward to beating the crap out of these

Can anyone comment on the slim Yoshiwa Mills black selvage? Trying to find a good black denim and having a hard time deciding between these and something simple like the Gustin blackxblack.
