Just received my Daltons, and they are as nice as everyone says they are. Here's an unboxing album. There's a few blemishes that prove these are seconds, so I'll think about it, and maybe exchange these for an unblemished version or pay a little more to get the walnut dainite Daltons that's available at the Shoebank. But I will have a pair of Daltons in my lineup.

Went to AE today, and was able to trade in my very ill-fitting seconds Daltons (unworn of course) in 9.5D for a pair of brand new firsts in 9EEE. Hopefully it works.
The Dalton boot is long and very narrow, don't understand how people say it fits TTS when the 9.5D felt like it was crushing my foot. The 8.5EEE fit so much better, only issue was that it was tight in the pinky toe and hurt to walk in them. I think 9EEE is going to be perfect.

9EE would probably have been best but they don't do much in the way of 9EE.

I almost like their new boot, nice that it has a Dainite sole.

Did not enjoy the customer service after I made my first purchase from AE from a newly opened store in a well known area. On the phone was even worse as the salesperson who sold my shoes was straight up a douchebag.
Fail on the fullfilment center on my shoes that was supposed to be a 9.5e, if they only opened shoe box to check tongues but nope. I ended up with a 9.5d instead. I didn't mind the plain merlot color and after reading so much online felt that even with the shoes being under $200 bucks that it was too much.
Back they go along with a chat with the stores supervisor/manager about customer service.

Hell, they won't let me out of the store at dsw with a super-clearance 75% off pair without making sure I'm not trying to sneak out with two different sizes.

That's what I told chat system. I should have been clear that sales person fitted me and ordered me the discontinued merlot colorway from their online system.
I would hope in store they checked and I a person would look.
