I really like that fishtail parka inspired heather grey on the guy with his back to the camera, but it's probably ruined with pockets trimmed in pleather which is a trend I loathe (see the white sweatshirt looking at you).

In general, though, I hate sweat-anythings, can't do sweatshirts, sweatpants, even lounging around the house. I can sometimes handle them if they don't have the elastic cuffs (or hem), but overall, hate. I have a hard-time even wearing hoodies, though, so it's not really my market.

I hate this so much!!!! Even more so on Women! There's no situation (work, office, school, grocery shopping, out on the town, etc) where this is anywhere near acceptable to wear. I've fired guys for coming to work in sweat pants. Proper work attire. My Barber does wear them but he's a good barber. He travels a lot out of the country (Asia, shows me pics). Sad that's how Americans are represented (but maybe that's where this country is heading

This is what the denim silks are for. Casual/dressy/sweatpantsy.
The guy in the article dropping close to two bones on sweatpants makes me feel better about spending a buck fiddy on the Grey Silks, and two twenty five on the IndigoxFancywefts.

I can see TS joining in on this. Seems right up their alley.

Terrible idea. Up there with Zubaz and baggy crotch Bieber pants. Never worn sweatpants outside of a gym. Not into sweatshirts either. I will wear a nice hoodie though, which is a different aesthetic from sweats.

I doubt it'll reach the same pantheon as MC Hammer parachute pants, but I can imagine some of those pictures coming back to haunt some of those dudes in them years from now..

There's a certain demographic in the UK who generally wear nothing but gym/sportswear.
Hopefully they will mean that others who wish to appear remotely presentable won't jump on this latest bandwagon.
Other than for the gym, or for other sports-related purposes, I can see no acceptable reason for any adult to wear sweatpants.

I personally don't get the sweatpants fad, but i'm okay with hoodies and such. I own approximately 2 tops by Reigning Champ: a tiger fleece crewneck sweatshirt (which i'm wearing today) and a heavyweight full-zip hoodie. they're both warm and both look acceptable with denim. I don't even own a pair of sweatpants and if I did, I would never set foot outside of the house with them.
