Just received my olive democratic fit chinos. Aside from the inseam needing a readjustment, these fit beautifully right out of the box. Going to make a special trek to my tailor downtown to get these back sooner. Really excited to mix these into my rotation. Update: after further examination, I discovered a weird "fray/excess fabric" at the crotch seam. It's not a tear but it appears the fabric wasn't folded at the stitch(?). It doesn't appear to a structural issue, but a minor QC oversight. I think it can be remedied with a careful trim. I may see what my tailor suggests when I drop these for hemming. I'll snap a couple pics and let TS know.

Got my Triple Needle Moto in Nacy replacement in size 42, and my sized-down (40 from a 42) Crater Shirt in Navy (replacing the size 42 Ash), and I love them both. The Navy Crater is a superior color to the Ash in person, I believe, but sold about 1/2 as well. The Ash in person looks worn and muddy in color, almost like a vintage thrift store find. Not entirely what I want out of a new shirt. The horn-style buttons on the Navy look great. Love both of these shirts. The Maritime is the only shirt I've ever been disappointed with from TS.

I got the Sanded Canvas Mechanics shirt in black from ebay (somebody unloaded a bunch of 42's, this was my only win). I'm not a big black shirt guy, and I'm gonna have to watch this guy for dog hair, but the fit is damn good and I really dig the fabric. For less than $50 shipped, it was a good pickup. And now I'll have to buy the moss.

I liked the Crater Shirt in Navy when I saw it in person, I nearly bought it but I spent too much lately at TS. The Ash just looked plain to me and all the guys at the store wore the navy one. They didn't have the Maritime shirt when I stopped by last time, maybe I'll check it in person this weekend.

Cone Utility shirt arrived. Put it on straight from the box...
This thing is burly. I may need to shrink it a little as it seems bigger than my other TS shirts (shoulders are puffy, arms are a little long). Some rough looking threads on the buttonholes (buttons were hard to unbutton because the fabric is stiff), but overall I'm really happy. This thing is going to relax and fade and be awesome for a long time. It's begging for abuse.

Oddly it's burly but has a somewhat open weave to it. Sun shines through it. Should make a good tough sprint/summer/fall shirt.

Report back on how the hot soak goes. I'm not afraid to throw this guy in the dryer if need be.

Just came out of the Dryer, low heat after a hot soak. It's kind of an odd shirt. As of right now it feels a bit deformed and almost seems like it's got some nylon/poly feel to it. Hoping a good iron and some wear will break it in and bring it back. Didn't seem to shrink that much.
I'll have a better review tomorrow evening when I wear it to work.

Agree on the sizing feeling a bit odd, slightly wide, slightly longer sleeves. I'd guess they were thinking it was going to shrink a bit.
It is very stiff. I think part of the oddness is that it does not drape. I put it on then immediately changed back into my new sanded mechanics and it definitely felt smaller. I'm thinking that I do like the idea of a slightly larger, longer fit work shirt for TS but they are very precisely fitted shirts that are not for everyone.
Based on it's stiffness I think I'm going to do my now standard cold rinse and spin cycle in the front loader washer but I'm tempted to do warm.
IF it's still that stiff I'll have to start wearing it around the house to break it in as I don't want to wear it out in the current new state.

I did a hot soak followed by a hot dry for maybe 15-20 minutes and then let it hang dry the rest of the way. Seems to have a shrunk a bit and I've got some nice indigo stains in my brand new washer...that was inevitable I guess. #evo

Ironed and wore the ISC for an hour or so. Just went back in for a second Hot Soak and hot Dryer. These sewed up a size bigger. Hope to get some more shrink.

Do you think it's the starch or the fabric? Someone on here had to have bought the G pants in this fabric? I see it's available in Stock now for $148, glad I got it for $100.

A lot of starch did come out with the first soak. the shape smartened up after an iron and an hour of wear. But the size is just to big.

I have something like 8 TS button up shirts (& 2 sweatshirts) all in 38 and all but one fit really well (recent moto flannel)

Agree with folks here, its just too big. I've had this happen before, and if you want to get on a return, get on it sooner than later. They are good about swapping. I soaked this pretty warm, mostly to get the starch out, and its big. Small cuffs though. It is not my favorite from them, but it is pretty heavy duty, so should be fun to beat up a bit.
