You know your chest measurement around the nipples? Make sure you control for temperature.

I think the 40 will work good for you. I think the 42 would have way too much length as I think you stated you are 5'10' if I remeber right.

Sorry late to this. Ickes said it, the return policy is pretty top notch, so even if 40 is too small, should be able to exchange. With that said, my nipples tend to add a size or two to my shirts. I'm really popular on public transportation.

TS just sent out a thank you email 15% off the site! Also I've noticed if you tell them you are converting from Gustin they like you even more.

The good news is that a vendor told me that it would be available in the spring . . .

Just bought an ash twill. My fiance loves my medium G charcoal twill but truth is it's either shrunk (yea I wash my stuff in warm water) or came in under spec 1.5" (this was before sizegate so I didn't measure) and is too tight in the chest. So I ordered the ash twill in 40, and if it shrinks similarly, I'll be in for a great fit.

How's everyone feeling about the vest in the workshop? I like the ash one, but I don't really think I'm a vesty kind of person.

Personally, a zip up vest looks like either a jacket liner or something your grandma would buy from a garden center made of fleece I do have a zip in liner for my filson, but it's bluky in their slim jackets so I'm thinking of replacing it will one from lawless when they get some wool in

I like the TS vest, probably in large part because that's the style I grew up with. If they'd made one in a nice green color, I'd probably have pounced on it. Only worry is that it looks like it might be a little short for me.

I've been looking for a nice wool vest, but am torn on this TS version. The materials are great, but there's a general lack of character and those massive patch pockets are detractors for me. But...i know it will be a warm piece...which brings a lot to the table.

Not feeling the vest myself. Too bad they didn't drop the maritime jacket instead.

But...i know it will be a warm piece...which brings a lot to the table. I agree. I really like the materials, but the cut of it is kind of generic. If it had a more classic vest look to it, I probably would have bought it, but the more I looked at it, it lost the appeal for me. A nice piece if you like that style.
