Nice score DigDug! The fit looks spot on. For people who have not tried IH jeans yet... Try these at $167 : global.rakuten.com/en/store/ot-emens/item/mud5040-0643m-0/These are 21oz denim (non-selvedge without hidden rivets). I've used this shop before and they are good with shipping at a reasonable cost. "From an image, please confirm that it is button fried food." And those amongst us that have gone over 20 ounce, would you agree that "The cloth adopts the hard finish that ultra of the extremely-thick strongest 21oz denim is hard"?

Got my first Iron Heart shirt! . Definitely a substantial shirt. Well made (haven't had the time/chance to really look close yet) First impression- nice looking fabric, not going to fall apart any time soon (or ever!), I paid $210 on ebay (looks like it's never been worn, came with tags and not wrinkled/creased) Would I pay the $295 from IH, knowing what I have now? Probably not but I'm glad I bought this one!! Arm holes are very high and fitted (hope it doesn't shrink at all) But a good cut. Will I buy another $200+ shirt, problably not. But I have one! And one is enough for me. Would I recommend an IH shirt? Yes! At least one, and a few TS, hopefully a few Gustins (haven't gotten one yet), and a few LD's! That's enough for me. Time to beat these shirts at work and play! Great buy, DigDug...lookin' very good!!

Are these prices for real? And real IH? Very tempting indeed. Any IH outside of Japan is sold by Giles. He distributes to every customer as well as to any store that carries IH outside of Japan. Naturally there are an enormous amount of shipping costs and tax so thats where some of the markup comes and the differnce between buying from Rakutan or Japan sites Welp, that helps explain why there's a $210 difference between that Iron Heart lined flannel that folks were discussing in one of the Lawless threads yesterday compared to, as far as I can tell, pretty much the same thing from Patagonia. Good for Giles and HMRC, I guess. Not so good for the rest of us. VAT is a motherf!@ker. I suspected something like this was the case, but it's still unfortunate that a big chunk of the IH price premium is all wrapped up with a higher carbon footprint and a regressive tax structure. Obviously the quality in the materials and craftsmanship is there with IH; I get that. IH customers will go to the mat for the durability and longevity of the products, and I have zero reason to doubt them. But I would say the same things about every Patagonia* garment I've ever owned. Is there sufficient scope in the manufacturing process for the IHSH-105 to even theoretically represent $210 worth of improvement upon the Patagonia shirt? That bar is already awfully high, so I kinda doubt it. Plus, the Patagonia one has the added bonus of not being stupidly short. * I'm sure there are plenty of other good brands you could substitute in for Patagucci to make this same point. I'm just using them because I have the most experience with their stuff and I know it's bomber.

These prices just can be ignored! Really, you guys can't imagine how stupid I feel... I own 12 Gshirts, many of which are VERY close to this price point. I could have a closet full of IH stuff by now, including the IHxViberg boots.

What appears to be the same shirt is literally twice the price at Self Edge. Man, I need to get into the exclusive global distribution business.

Good prices for sure. Is Rakuten a Japanese Amazon? Anybody here use them in the USA? If so how'd it work out and how much more was your final price? I've used yoox with no issues at all buying from Italy.

I said that in Reddit and people were blasting me about my estimation of the manufacturing cost of the Japanese garments. You can get a Iron Heart Wabash work shirt on Rakuten from a Japan retailer for $177. If you think about how much Iron Heart is actually charging it's retailer, my guess would be somewhere around $110 with the production cost around $50-70. I am thinking if Iron Heart does a direct selling model similar to Lawless or Gustin, that same Wabash shirt will be about the price of the Gustin work shirt that is $140.

I just paid my Rakuten purchase (I made this morning after I read Untuck's post) using Paypal. Bought one IHSH-62 and IHV-02 (Blame DD after I saw his photo). The waiting has began. I will update everyone my journey of my first Rakuten purchase.

I am 3 for 3 on Rakuten Japanese clothing purchases. 1 denim western shirt from The Flat Head, one pair of Oni 20 oz secret denim and one Momotaro shirt. All shipped to my door inside of a week, well packaged and most definitely not counterfeit. It's tough. I want to support US retailers but paying DOUBLE for the exact same thing? I have kids and tons of real life expenses. I couldn't do it and still sleep at night.

I'm not sure of the international shipping rates to the States through Rakuten, but all our my items have been free shipping, seeing as I have a Japanese address. I'm more than willing to proxy for any of the Bros here, because I can flat rate USPS it to the States after receiving. DM me if interested.

If the rest of the denim world catches on and grabs these kinds of great deals, rip-off resellers will definitely feel the pain. I mean, seriously... I got their flagship premier item for nearly 40% off the boutique price. Luckily I looked at Rakuten, because I was starting to justify the $450 pricetag to myself!

it was free shipping! Couldn't believe it. Rakuten seems to a group of different sellers, and when I looked at it I was seeing shipping costs. How do I get free shipping? Is any one seller better than any other? The prices seem to good to pass up. untucked's kind offer of onward posting might be a way of guaranteeing no import charges, if it's marked as a gift.

If I'm sending to the USofA there is no import fee... I work on a military base, which counts as sovereign US soil.

@untucked, wdw....ahhh, dangit...I spoke too soon. Shipping is NOT free. I went through the transaction last night, ordered the product, all thewhile the shipping said FREE. I wake up this morning to an emaik from them saying "reply to this email to accept shipping so we can ship your product''. Shipping cost me 1,680 JPY. @untucked how much is that? Either way I think I'm still cheaper than if I would have bought the thermal directly from IH
