Does Red Wing have a clothing line? God, I hope not. I prefer it when shoe companies do what they do best, and that's make shoes. Just like, my opinion, man.

A little diversification isn't a bad thing, but it's best to not overdo it.

I have a leather jacket that they collaborated with one of the Beatles (I forget which one, Paul or George) that is kind of cool. I'd like to see a collaboration in some sort of workwear.

A little diversification isn't a bad thing, but it's best to not overdo it. you're right that diversification isn't bad, but I think some companies lose sight of which customers they're trying to attract. There's a pair of Filson x Tellason jeans on Fleabay at the moment and from what I can tell, there's nothing remarkable about them aside from being made by Tellason. The overall design is the same with the exception of a zip fly. Filson isn't in the jeans business, they're in the outdoorsman/hunting business. To me it struck me as a cheap way to gain a little market share of denim enthusiasts who happen to like Filson clothing. I like Filson for their outerwear, shirts and waxed canvas goods, not their jeans. But, then again, Filson has been doing the collab thing for awhile, so I'm guessing they do collabs because they can.

Allen edmonds and Johnston Murphy both make clothing now. JM's sucks(their shoes kinda do too) allen edmond is mediocre at best.

I'm late to this thread by like 10 hours I have been eyeing a pair of IR for many months and finally got a pair last night but now I'm worried about sizing. I have a pair of RW work boots in 11 that I love so I went a half size down but now with every one saying go a full size down I hope I didn't just screw my self over.

haven't seen any comments about the 8882 indigo portage coming out this weekend. at first i scratched my head over it but the more i'm seeing it both on its own and on feet, i'm liking it. on Ben from SOP: i've seen it with some tan and green khakis as well...very complementary.

At times I wish I sized down one full but they fit great with winter socks. When I wear thinner socks I throw in a pair of really comfortable superfeet inserts.
I actually have them on right now. With scrubs. I'm on my feet or in the car all day and they're very comfortable.

I've been wearing my Red Wing Iron Rangers all over Europe for the last few weeks. They are doing great. I'll take photos and post.
I think these ones use an oiled leather. When I get home I'd like to show them a little love by cleaning them up and re-oiling, or whatever is the proper care. What do people on here recommend?
Maybe I should just take them into Red Wing? Is it true that that do free leather treatments/polish in their stores?
Thanks
