Just want to give a nod to these guys. They are making some nice new shirts (I love the look of there Chambray's) But I've been getting these "vintage" Flannels off EBay (paying about $10 - 30). There's a lot of them, with many different colors/patterns. There Mid Weight. Great to layer under a denim shirt. Great deal for a shirt that you can trash at work. This one I payed 1 $16 (with free shiping)

Man I find a ton thrifting. I had three in my hand but I put them back. They are cut funky. Super large in the arms and waist. Plus the chamois cloth was worn. I think I would be a size small in five brothers.

I think I would be a size small in five brothers. Fit is good for me. I get the large (I'm a XL in Gustin). It's a good gamble at $15 for someone to try. But yes, if the fit isn't right, it's no good.

I agree, their shirts are cut weird.

These would have traditional full cut. Made for work and layering. You'll find them made in the USA or else ware, depending on who owned the brand at the time. The ones being made now are sized for and only distributed in JP but made in the USA. I could not track down who the current manufacturer is.
Some interesting brand history. A former owner was being investigated for tag swapping at the time of his death. Reportedly paying prisoners to swap the original origin tags with made in the USA tags on jeans.

I got this one on ebay recently. It fits the criteria of being both ugly and oddly sized. I love it.

It is SO SOFT and also a good bit thicker than most flannels you get these days. The only real issue with the fit is its just a bit on the small side but I can make it work.

Hand eye supply is carrying a couple current five brothers shirts now. I like this one Wacky Japanese sizing, so a difficult fit for some. They also have a couple flannels.

Man, we used to buy these all the time back in the day at the work clothes place we shopped at. The lady has a shack out in farm country and everything was just stacked together. I went through a ton of the original ones. My favorite was a black and grey flannel that looked very much like this but without the purple. My mom used to wear it all the time and I just threw it out a couple months ago. www.weargustin.com/store/2116
