I'm sure they'll just raise their prices even more. $40K in SelfEdge gear is $20K in real world gear. Lmao...I just now realized this is the SE model. I totally thought this was Ian Mcshane!!..lol. I was like...why the hell is whiskeyriver posting a pic of Ian Mcshane?? I don't get it!!..lol

But seriously...all jokes aside...and despite their (my opinion) price gouging, is this guy OK? I get legitimately concerned when seeing these newer pics. I've been going to their product pages for a couple years now, and this has been a stunning transformation in just a couple years. What are you guys talking about? The model guy grew a beard and got a little bit older over the last few years?

When larcenies take place the cost used is what they pay or wholesale. NOT retail prices or MSRP. If they pay $150 for jeans that's the price that will end up being used. Of course when they talk about it you hear MSRP values. Look at the case of the stolen lebron sneaker truck.

That makes perfect sense. The insurance company is replacing the actual cost the retailer paid (the wholesale cost). They wouldn't replace the retail cost of something that had not yet sold at a retail price. Or people would be burning down their own stores to get the wholesale-to-retail markup paid by insurance without ever having to actually sell anything.

Lol...jeez you guys, I don't think the SE model looks that terrible. Let's not be so hard on the dude. Are you saying that he's aging rapidly or something?? He's a bartender and co-owner of some bar nearby. Came across his Instagram a couple days ago. You guys are being too harsh

I'm clearly a horrible person. I feel like you did a better job with him than I did with Gustin-model.

Just got my pants back from being hemmed at Self Edge Portland. One leg is like half an inch shorter than the other and the seams are falling apart and super messy. Fortunately, they were so far off on the measurements that there might be enough room to hem them somewhere else, but I feel like I just spent $25 to have somebody wreck my jeans... Ouch, that sucks. Did you contact them about it? And which denim were these?

I just got them back a couple of hours ago, I'll probably swing by on Thursday to see what they'll say. The only email I found on the site was for all of Self Edge, so I didn't know if I should use that address.

Meh, I just get a really douchey vibe from the guys there, so that's why I don't stop with them. I'm sure someone somewhere could easily say the same about me too, though. ***Oops! Quoted wrong post, lol

I can totally envision Mr. Jhorts intentionally jacking up a pair of Gustins..... Anyone remember the Instagram beef?
