davelewis I'm posting this in the proper thread as to not derail the IH thread more than I have already Just received my Left Field Greasers today in the 13oz Cone and I'm very pleased. The Greaser fit works great for me and I highly recommend it for those who have what seems to be larger than "average" thighs and want a little more rise than most slim fits on the market today. They fit exactly how I wanted and expected them to. They are similar to a Railcar Spike fit IMO but with a larger hem. Very comfortable, good room in the thighs, good room in the top block for the boys, and I can sit down in them and be comfortable which the lighter weight fabric also helps with. Construction appears to be solid and the red bandana pocket bags are very nice touch. Overall I am very happy with these and will be buying more Greasers. Left Field has impressed me with my first purchase. Love the look of the classic cone denim in this particular cut, very classic Americana IMO. Thanks Ickes. Just what I wanted to hear, and with the cool pocket bags, could be the ultimate beer drinking jeans. A nice distraction for when your hitting the head every half hour from a strong night at the pub, lol.

Red bandana pocket bags and a cool skull design on the back of the rivets are some killer details to the Left Field jeans

I'd try natural indigo but my fear is they'd fade into epic dad jeans.

Yeah, the Cone Natural Indigo is not a good shade. Wearing natural indigo Oni now that are my darkest pair of jeans. Not sure why Cone chose to use such a light shade.

Just bought the 18 oz collect mills indigo in the chelsea fit. So much for me not buying anything for awhile. That lasted, what, two weeks? Maybe less. BUT, in my defense, these are sort of replacing my anniversary CF 20 oz. which I just can't handle anymore. I've seen this fabric IRL and it looks great. If the fit charts are accurate, the Chelsea should be a great fit for me. Similar to the Gustin slim, with a little larger thigh and more of a rear rise. My wife is going to Hawaii for a work conference for a week leaving me in this shit MN weather with the kids, so this is also a pity purchase, which maybe makes it justified? Whatever, I'm weak.

Whatever, I'm weak. you're on a denim forum with a bunch of nerdy enablers who have all done the same thing. none of us are in any position to judge what you do with your hard earned ducats. I actually came very close to buying a pair of RgT Stanton's during BOW's archive sale but talked myself out of it. I also found Leftfield's 17oz Cone Mills denim chelsea fit appealing because it's on sale, but I talked myself out of that one as well. The temptation will always be there.

34" waist. I talked myself out of the Stanton's because the hem is too wide for me

Can someone measure the rise on a chelsea fit in 33 or 34? On the Left Field site it lists the front rise as 10.75 and 10.875 respectively, but on the division road inc it lists it at 9.1 and 9.3.
edit: nvm i contacted them and apparently they measure differently (not including the waistband)

Three new fabrics available at Left Field (two greaser fits and one charles Atlas). They look like good deals. considering the 16.5oz Xinjiang

ickes - what waist size did you get and what's the size of the hem opening? Thanks FWIW I ordered the 13.25oz cone and I probably could have (should have according to LeftField) sized down to a 33 on these. The waist is a bit loose on the 34 but nothing that makes them unwearable at all. Also, it really just feels damn good to have a comfortably fitting pair of jeans out of the bag that I can move around freely in all day long.
