Those look like some serious shit-kickers. Also begging for a how long is that shaft/that's what she said joke. What was the cost? Custom ordered?

I love your boots, unnamed. Very solid looking and not one I'd seen before. So far I have 16" Boss and 10" Jobmasters, as below. I've also just ordered custom Boss (burgundy with Harness toe), which are due in July. I've been lucky enough to always have these delivered to me on my US vacations, which means I save a packet on customs fees and get great boots for much less than my other favourites, Trickers.

Fantastic price. Just wish I had that sort of luck. I'd have snapped them up in a second.
I like the original colour a lot, but it might not stand up to denim stains. My RW IR Hawthorns suffered because of that and I now need to be careful what I wear with them.

To explain the last post: I paid $69 for them. And here they are after some LP: $69? I think you have gotten the best deal so far on a score that I have seen on here. Good job.

I was sent this pic by Ron at Big Black Boots. They're my burgundy custom Boss with a Harness toe. I fancied a change from the usual round toe, but didn't like the straps on the Harness, hence the hybrid. I'll pick them up when I visit Yellowstone next month and save on shipping and customs fees, so these are a bargain price for a non-US person.

I also prefer the engineer style strap, over the standard harness buckle.

It's because of my phone, but if you click on it you'll see it full size. Very cool customization. Hope they fit. You get to wear them back instead of mailing. You will be the proudest boot wearer on the plane. Novel approach.

@winterland, this is the third time I've bought Wesco's through Ron and picked them up in the US, and I reckon I'm saving about $250 a time on shipping and customs fees. Mind you, I must have looked a bit weird coming back from Las Vegas last summer wearing 16" Boss's in 108F/42C. Luckily I got the sizing right first time, so these should be fine, as long as they're a bit longer to account for the narrow toe.

Finally got these and I like them. Custom Boss, burgundy with a Harness toe. Worn with G Italy Sky's.

Snapped some pics of my Wescos last night. Lighting is horrible, but you get the idea. Sun should be back in July so I'll get some better pics then. Black engineers with a white sole and knife pocket, these have all sorts of character. Probably about six months of effective wear although I've owned them about a year. Maybe in another six months they'll finish breaking in and actually get comfortable!

Very few items on my list of gear to acquire next year, but one of them is another pair of engineer boots! Looking to get something much sleeker and classy this go around. That burgundy domain is calling to me.
Question: Can anyone point me in the direction for some brass roller buckles? Looking for 5/8" and 7/8". My googlefu is weak and I can't track any down. Much obliged for an assist.

Yo can try contacting Frost River and see if they'll sell you some

Looks like they launched the virtual boot builder last week! Was checking it out while looking over some options with the wife for her own pair of boots. Kinda fun to play with the options and actually see a close representation of the final product. www.wescoboots.com/builder/BootBuild.aspx?oik=100350015

Looks like someone bought the Wesco Packers in Burgundy that I linked before and paired them with IH-633Ns. They look pretty damn good.

Picked up the wife's brand new Wesco's yesterday! Custom fit, black domain, MP last, #700 outsoles, pull tabs on the sides instead of a top strap, they're just below knee level for her. Saw her headed to work this morning with some skinny jean tucked in them. Snapped a pic of my 1.5 year old pair while I was at it too.

I'm looking into ordering a pair of custom Romeos from Wesco and wanted to bounce some options off of the board... I'm leaning towards rough out with a wedge sole (not sure of the color--sole or leather; kind of wide open--from burlap/buckskin/milkshake to brown and even thought about sage green (ala standard and strange)/regular green. Also, enjoying the look of patina'd deep brown/burgundy Engineers paired with heavy denim/duck. Stupid Slippery Rabbit Holes! Any experiences with wedgsoles or Romeos (wesco boots or not) or colored roughout evolution would be appreciated or just your personal preferences of other styles/makers!

Those look way too similar to the baby shoes my kid was in when he was still crawling.

Those look way too similar to the baby shoes my kid was in when he was still crawling. Thank you Bentin; I see your point, and if I where wearing shorts with them it'd be more valid, but when paired with jeans they just look like regular boots. I like the fact they slip on, while still giving off the boot vibe. Any alternative styles you'd recommend?
