The header for this forum says watches, but there's no discussion. What are you guys wearing? This Maratac Big Pilot from county comm has pushed a few others nearly out of the rotation. It routinely goes on sale for $209, which is nuts for a miyota movement with C3 superluminova and a sapphire crystal. If you don't like big watches they also have a midsize in 38mm. The watch comes on a cheesy two piece black nylon, but I wear it on a variety of one piece NATOs. countycomm.com/maratacpilotlarge2013.html

And this is what the Maratac is edging out for time. It's a Benarus Sea Snake with a slightly higher grade 9015 Miyota movement with a date function. It's slightly dressier and also highly waterproof so I wear it to the pool/on the boat. My boys love the lume, you can practically read by it at night.

love my maratac pilot. so versatile. i've got the newer face and am tempted to take them up on the black friday sale for the original face. $225 is a steal for such a solid watch.

I love that original face and wish I had it. $225 is good for that watch as they routinely go over $300 used on watchuseek.

Where is that Black Friday deal at? I'm looking to up my watch game without breaking the bank. Been looking mainly at some Laco watches in the $350-500 range, but a Maratac might be an option.

The first two are some strange looking watches. The third a little better. I guess I am not an LED watch guy. I can see people being into them though. Have they become popular in the last few years?

Currently I am rotating and in the past year I traded for the brand new Speedmaster Pro and traded to WatchFred to get started on the whole watch thing. Got the 765AVI from my father-in-law and didn't really know what it was worth. So traded it for the white Breitling and a Speedmaster Pro (Probably got the short end of the stick as a noob since the AVI was worth about 8-10K and I got no where near that in the watches I got in the trade. Live and learn.) and then worked my way into my current rotation.

This has to be the absolute best value in watches . . . Seiko 5 Military SNK809, ordered from Amazon on Black Friday . . . $42.92 delivered. Yeah, the movement is made in Malaysia, but it's a freaking exhibition-back automatic watch that so far has kept perfect time . . . for the price of a decent bottle of Scotch. This one is going to get a natural veg tan leather NATO strap.

I am not as good as your guys with watch pics. My dream watch is a a smaller sized Rolex Submariner. The ones you guys have been posting have been like a carrot to the horse. Here is my main watch an older Luminox 7001. Rubber band. I just noticed the Lum barely illuminates anymore. It has been put to good use and keeps on ticking. I see they have become more expensive as the years go by. My other is an older Eddie Bauer military style watch. Came with a stock black band added this one a few years back.

Well luxury cars and expensive watches do go together in some way. We are all badass on this forum. I did check out the Seiko 5 Military SNK809 on Amazon and that is a good looking watch for a nice price and is a Seiko. Tempting.

Haha, exactly! That style is the semi-joke preference of another forum I'm on, hence the Lexus shot with my Maratac. Sadly I have the weakest sauce Lexus, a CT200h, which is basically a re-badged Prius.

That was an early attempt to get close to Gulf colors, which I've since found a perfect match. It doesn't match anything, I just have an issue with Gulf colors. I normally wear it on either the bracelet or a sand Zulu strap that closely matches the UTC marker.

I normally wear it on either the bracelet or a sand Zulu strap that closely matches the UTC marker. I was just thinking that a NATO in light green/yellow to match the UTC text would be pretty sweet. Loud NATO colors don't bother me at all and I routinely wear my Maratac on a safety orange strap for weekend casual. For weekday it's either navy or gray.

The first two are some strange looking watches. The third a little better. I guess I am not an LED watch guy. I can see people being into them though. Have they become popular in the last few years? The first 2 are called "drivers watch" because you would be able to tell time while using the steeringwheel. (not really bc you have to push a button to show the time..) They are wierd looking, but I like the vintage bulova, they come in many sorts, all of them golden. I have never seen a person wearing one of these, so I wouldn't call them popular, they are also not made anymore so are hard to get. Its gonna cost you about a grand for one that has only a few scratches and are still working of either the pulsar or bulova. The first one is a copy and cost me the enormous sum of $69 (wich it doesnt even look to be worth to tell you the truth lol)
