davelewis - I haven't hemmed mine yet so haven't worn them outside yet but they became a bit more comfy just from wearing them around the house. The blue specs in the denim even impressed my wife Damn, jray, those blue mini filaments aren't "specs"...they're "highlights"! Love my Beasts. Gave 'em 4 months hard wear last autumn-winter & they started to become manageable. lol. The waist has the least give of any denims I've owned though.

highlights - my apologies, you are absolutely correct, they are highlights! Heck yea, women pay good money to have them put in their hair.

davelewis - with my hairline, this is the only way I can get highlights (not that I would anyway)

univibe88 - THANK YOU - haha, for real you are my inspiration. Just snagged a pair from devastitis, and have been searching to find what kinda fades could be expected on these. I plan to replicate your usage/wash (and lack thereof) methods to the T! Possibly even down to the saltwater bath How come you opted out of the sand rub??

I agree, great methods to replicate! univibe88 has produced inspired & cracking evos. Dig his straight ahead/wear the wool outta them approach. Think he tips long cycle rides for combs...the Beast develops bold high contrast white-to-light blue fades across that amazing denim. I love my Beast.

The BEAST Beat me I've moved on to the more reasonable Gustin J21's.

The BEAST Beat me I've moved on to the more reasonable Gustin J21's. Are you saving the Antiques for summer? Wearing them now. J21's, Antique's, Loomies make up the main rotation now. But on occasion I'll breakout the Zims and my personal favorite the Ok's. BEAST are out.

I rocked my 26'oz two days in a row. I dropped some weight and they fit darn good. At the biggest part of my calf they are a bit snug but I can deal. They are sweet jeans and I feel were Gustin's magnum opus.

The only problem I have with the BEAST is the waist band. After 70+ wears it simply won't give. As long as I'm standing all is well but if I bend or sit it cuts into me. The fit is fine, the band simply doesn't flex. Life is to short and I have 8 other pairs that feel fine.

Totally agree. The waist never got comfy for me. Thanks for the kind words tashdaddy and highlightsNo bike riding for combs but a good amount of urban hiking.

Had I been able to get a 40, I'd have done that and be wearing them now. As it is, the 21's are very nice and more usable, but I miss the Beasts...

Dropping weight helped. The waist doesn't feel bad anymore just a bit snug in my lower leg since I have giant calf muscles.

There's a pair of 35 Slims on Grailed, and I'm considering it.

Finally found a pair of these that fit me from grailed. Second attempt with a used pair. Just in time for Spring. A slim 33 measures an actual 31, which is fine. The first attempt with a 32 slim measured an actual W30. I don't need to the denim give at all and the first owner put in a month or two initial wear so that I won't suffer too much. These are so noticeably heavier than the 23 oz. It's surprising.

Just for kicks. Anyone still wearing these? Did anyone get some real wear? Or wear out?

I blew out the crotch in mine. And I'm a couple lbs heavy right now. So mine are retired.
