yeah, I definitely would not consider 6oz a heavyweight flannel. Not even close. Multiple people have said something about it on the community forum. I would not know since I was being shunned....

Yeah, when I'm sitting in a chair and I want sit with my leg crossed over the other knee, I may indeed have to move my leg manually, haha. I was telling someone the other day that those are kind of like wearing an iron man suit initially. But I love it--I certainly know I'm wearing them.

I can not squat with them at all - the fabric behind the knee bunches up in digs in.

Holy hell, kids, Tony Stark here in our little forum. I guess he could be going this route, though.

Oh man, I really want some 20+ denim, even when people just describe them as painful and restrictive. I've been scoping out a pair of the 22oz. Elephant 4's from Naked and Famous, but I'm just not sure I can justify another pair of jeans at this moment (I've got one coming in from G tomorrow and a few from LD in the next month or so). Restraint has never been my strong point.

The only thing preventing me from springing for the IH-666 is the possibility that Lawless might issue a 28oz or make their own heavyweight.
I have the G-Beasts and the effort required to break them in is absolutely worth it!

If the E4s were made by any other brand, I'd have jumped on them instead of backing Gustin's Cone Bluexblacks. I can't stand NFs' patch.

I'd totally jump on any 20+ oz from G or LD. In spite of being restrictive, I like the protective and assuring feel of heavyweight denim. And they are good now that the temperature here is in low 20s.
I can't find any IH dealer locally, so I can't commit to spending so much without trying them on.

yeah, I definitely would not consider 6oz a heavyweight flannel. What weight and above is considered a heavyweight flannel? Is the once per yard calculated the same way as denim?

Yeah, that was actually one of my considerations as I really don't care for it either. I just happen to have a pretty big chunk of amazon store credit at the moment and that was one of the heavyweight jeans I could find there. But I do really like the bluexblack denim. What I really want are some workshirts, those don't seem to exist on amazon.

marauder, imo 10 oz and up would be considered heavy.

It's calculated like all fabric is oz/yard. 9oz+ i would say is heavy.
I think Gustin wanted to throw the heavyweight term around for the guys that A. Need heavyweight for winter IE have the country and B. Guys that like heavyweight stuff such as IH and new lawless offerings.

It's calculated like all fabric is oz/yard. not 'all' fabric weights are calculated the same way. other than denim most American cloths (including wool) are calculated by linear yard vs square yard (or meter) as in many non-American cloths this is one reason Roman gave us a disclaimer here when he found the 24oz wool, saying it is weighed differently and equated it to a 14-ish oz denim (iirc). still quite heavy, but not what some are thinking when they see 24oz and think of denim weighting

Snagged a 32 straight, got caught up in the mystery and instant gratification of having it ship immediately. We shall see.

Ugh, the sewn-up sample of that funky Pendleton CPO looks so good. I don't want to be tempted by that thing again, though. Dammit, CPO. I wish I knew how to quit you! The new 17-oz. Japanese denim they just threw down today also looks terrific. I dig that texture. And for $81?

Japan One Seven are very tempting. Would be pulling the trigger if I didn't have so much on the way.

However, I am going to wait for the incoming LD shirt since Lawless just has a better price point. It is also getting very important to me that Lawless has the capability to fix the item for me in case I make a mistake on sizing. Just a piece of mind that I need right now.

Texture does look very nice on the 17oz i just don't need any more jeans Also seeing a test pair on first sale these days got me thinking. Does josh sew them up for photo shoots after getting the fabric in before sale or does seamaid do it? Got me wondering if the photo shoot pairs are done inhouse vs vendor. They are looking killer though wish i didn't have 15+ jeans already, lol. Might put up some of my gustin to the board see if i can lighten my load to go stupid again.

Someone looking to forray into a heavier weight denim would do themselves well to pick up the 17oz. These are a real bargain. I'm good on jeans myself, so not tempted, but are holding out for the heavyweight duck that is on the horizon.

They look all the same to me now. Only Indigo jeans I will remotely considered is the one with some really funky color welt or neps....

Sorry, I am getting spoiled and $81 for an 17oz jeans with no special details or customization is no longer a bargain in my book. Some people also needs to pay another $20 for hemming. I do think it is not expensive though.
