m.american-giant.com/catalog/product/view/id/155Anyone have something from them? Got my eye on a sweat shirt (seem to have good reviews) I do have one Tshirt, but it's to big so I don't wear it. It is a very thick/heavy T, nice fabric and well made. I just can't comment on the fit. I plan on buying the right size T and a Sweat Shirt. What Color do you think I should get?

DigDug; I have an American Giant heavyweight zip up hoodie and it's great. I will probably buy another one in a different color soon. I would highly recommend the heavyweight zip up hoodies, they are very high quality in materials and craftsmanship. They have a bit of a slim/athletic fit, a nice deep hood, and are a perfect weight imo. I do not recommend their T shirts however, terrible fit.

Thanks Ickes, think I'll grab a sweat shirt. I never seem to wear a hood so the hoodie won't work for me. I've been looking at the loop wheeled sweats shirts but there just to pricy. These American Giants seem to be a good value.

I've read on reddit about recent complaints on the fit changing from a nice athletic/slim fit to a boxy disaster. Anybody bought one recently?

usctroll, DigDug; that's the fit on the sweat shirt and that's what I was just about to tell DigDug. FYI Diggy I wouldn't recommend the sweat shirt. I don't own one but from what I've heard the fit is not very good at all as usctroll stated. The only thing they do very well really is the hoody. Keep in mind this was over a year ago that people started complaining about the fit on the sweat shirt so I don't know if anything has changed yet, but according to usctrolls comments they haven't.

.
It’s true that loopwheeled sweatshirts go for about $200+ in the US, UK, and other places, but if purchased directly from Japan (with the yen as weak as it is) one can get the best ones around for about $111. It’s great that American Giant sweatshirts are American made though… So either way seems like a really good decision. Here is the same exact shop(Klax-On) that SE buys there sweatshirts from: item.rakuten.co.jp/klax-on/sgc001/
Thanks! Any chance you know which is the chest measurement on that one? Do you guys buy the same measurement size as your shirts? It's been awhile since I've worn a sweat shirt.

I've had one of their heavyweight hoodies for about a year and love it. Like ickes I'm eyeballing getting a second one (I'd like a midweight because the South)
I've also bought a hat that is really nice quality, but doesn't really look right...I wear it to the gym sometimes when I'm not going to be going too hard because the material is pretty heavy and it will set my head on fire, and I've bought one tshirt that was just ok. I WANT their tshirts to fit well because I think they are a great company to deal with and I love tshirts.

New to the site - wanted to add a couple cents on American Giant.
I heard a lot of mixed reviews. I think this was because of the fact that, around the internet, it was hailed as the greatest hoody of all time. Although the hoody is really nice, I wouldn't say it's the greatest hoody's I've ever owned.
I got a Red Limited one in Medium. I'm 5'6" 160 pounds. Athletic build. I like my hoody's a little bigger and this one fits pretty well. I could probably comfortably rock a small as well. What I really like about the hoody is the outside material. The weight is great and it feels substantial. I feel like I can give it a real beating and that it will be with me for a long time. I liked it so much that I bought another one... but this time I got the mock hoody with no hood. The fit was a bit different on it... a little more room. But, again, the fabric is substantial.
I recommend the hoodies... I would say get the hood over the non-hood. Feel comfortable about going true to size... although I have heard stories about them fitting a little tight. With cotton goods at this weight... I've seen them tend to break in. I have not had my hoodies long enough to speak in to THIS particular product.
They also just released cotton sweat shorts for $44. I was curious... and I'm always on the lookout for good workout gear. I picked a pair up and I'm waiting for delivery. I'm probably crazy for being one of the first to own one... but hey, someone has to do it.

If it shrinks I won't be happy. Should I get an XL? I don't want to have to hang dry it.

Got a premium crew T delivered yesterday. The fabric is a good mid to heavy weight (6.6 oz), interesting slub. I like the fit too. I got a large and its not boxy in the body and longer than a Gustin L. Highly recommended.

I've got swimmer shoulders so I find it hard to find T's that work in the shoulders, but aren't blousey around the waist. The AG T isn't tight across the belly/waist, but definitely better than some. What do you like? Also, are tubular knit T's generally more boxy in the body? I only have experience with a Velva sheen I picked up recently and it seems bigger around the abdomen relative to others.

I like Gustins, Old Navy, Eddie Bauer legend wash slim fit, Bravestar, 3sixteen. I don't own any tubular knits but from what I understand yes, they are boxy.

Oh and J Crew slims are decent too. Regular J Crews are too boxy for me

I'm thinking about a new hoodie. Scoured the internet and this brand seems plausible. I have it narrowed down to this for less than $100 (much less with any discount that I might get for being a new customer...is there a code or something?) OR 3sixteen, which is about $175. All of this seems high for a hoodie, but this will most likely be my last purchase for a while. Seems like most people like these...

They are nice, I've had mine for about 3 years and I only use it for the gym but its definitely high quality and substantial. The one thing I don't like...the hood is very deep, which I think they actually use as a selling point but it bothers me somewhat for working out purposes. Theres all that fabric back there that bunches up and gets in the way when I doing squats or laying down for bench presses. Not really a big deal though if I'm not working out

I don't have a hoodie, but I do have some of their sweatpants. I like em. I also have a T from them. After wearing it a few times, I have to agree with ickes, the T cut is a little boxy. I've washed it in warm/hot a few times and its better, but not among the best Ts I own. The fabric is good though. I think I'm going to have to go with Gustin as my best fitting T (I go for a L in Gustin Ts and XL slim in their shirts), as well as, oddly enough, a couple of graphic Ts from Locally Grown and Ames Bros.

Flint and Tinder seems to position themselves as an American Giant competitor in the hoodie realm. Anyone have both to compare? My only hoodie is an Ibex merino wool. I like it, but it's got one of those scuba-looking hoods for wearing under a bike helmet. It looks super weird to wear the hood up without a helmet on. Makes you look like an alien.
