Yea, about 30-40 bucks. They ship express though, so you get it lightning fast.

I imagine customs dings you on the way in too? I have not had that happen....just the shipping fee, that's it.

No customs for me either. I tried looking this up at one point, and it seems the consensus is customs get charged once you reach a certain dollar threshold. Couldn't find any explicit numbers, but if you're buying clothes in small amounts you should be ok.

Customs for me is a hit and miss. Sometimes I've gotten hit with fees for a package worth 60 and other times I've gotten away with $500 worth of boots.
FYI, I'm in Canada.

Cool. I'm stoked to order this shirt. Last question about the sizing, do direct from Japan sizes run smaller? The confusing RB fit chart seems way small.

I wouldn't think so benjaminpersitz, I would go by the IH UK fit guide. I ordered my Super Heavy Flannel from SelfEdge and their fit chart was quite a bit different from IH UK. When I received the shirt I measured it and it was spot on to the IH UK fit guide so I would trust that one.

Try on some shirts and the 301s again.

I've ordered a bunch of IH shirts from rakuten and the measurements of all of them were pretty close to those listed on IHUK.

I plan to go down this route for IH stuff now, as you know your money is well spent, but would be interested to know if UK people have been hit for customs charges. I know the pound isn't as strong as the dollar just now, but the prices are still better than buying from IH UK.

I was on Rodeo Bros and was about to pull the trigger when I realised my sizes were sold out.
Are there any other reliable IH sites? I find navigation on Rakuten a bit painful.

wdw, I've ordered from "vari" on there. Everything turned out fine. The nice thing about that shop is they offer free international shipping.

I ordered from Aikidou and everything went fine. Their English sucks though. Then again, my Japanese sucks, so we're even.

jamesr - is vari def 100% free shipping? That might force my hand to buy the 25oz....

I placed an order with Fukuraku for the black Wabash vest, but need to wait for an email that will confirm shipping costs and then finalise it. So far the cost is less than half UK retail, so unless shipping is crazy this is a goer.

brentkuz, I only ordered once from them but that order had free shipping. I just placed the order and instead of getting an email asking me to confirm shipping costs, I just got the "your order has shipped" email with no additional cost added for shipping. It didn't ship as quickly as my Rodeo Bros order but I received it as quickly. Rodeo Bros also tend to use boxes versus the Gustin-type envelope from vari.

Here is a link that sorts Products with Free Shipping + Store = Vari. global.rakuten.com/en/search/?k=%5Bkg%5D&sid=vari&l-id=gs_product_searchBasically, you can get any of the IH 634 variations with free shipping but not other models. So you could get the 25 oz 634 with free shipping but not the 25 oz 666.

Just ordered a Buzz Rickson N-1 (the better version) from Rhino at a great price. They were about $100 less than the others and only had one of my size left. Nice that they took the 8% tax off to make it sweeter. Only downer here was the 6,200 yen postage, but that was because of the relatively heavy weight.
Still not heard from Fukuraku about confirmation for my IH vest. I hope I don't lose out on that one.

I believe it's Sunday afternoon in Japan right now, it's possible they haven't been working since you ordered it, but I'm not exactly clear on how Rakuten works since I haven't ordered through them yet.

All is good. I emailed Fukuraku and my card had been declined. Sorted that and the total including shipping was less than half UK retail. Even if I get hit for customs, I'm still well up on the deal. And delivery will be quick too.
This could well be the way to go if they have what you want at the right price.

I ordered my Iron Heart Chinos from Fukuraku and I haven't received them yet. Rodeo Bros would have had them here by now. Plus I never received an email from Fukuraku to approve shipping charges like Rodeo Bros does. I think I'll contact Fukuraku and see what's up

ickes, Fukuraku seem slow on the comms front. I ordered my N-1 from Rhino and within about half an hour they'd emailed about the shipping charges and asking for my confirmation, then again they followed up a couple of times to say it had all gone well. Less than 12 hours later, the package is despatched and I have a tracking link from them.
Once I made contact with Fukuraku, to be fair, things moved quickly. They asked me to pay with another card or use Paypal, so I chose Paypal and they sent a link within an hour and now I have confirmation of payment from them. No shipping yet, but hopefully tomorrow.

I love the buzz rickson n1 but can't stand the US navy printed on it. A little too hardo for me.

I love the buzz rickson n1 but can't stand the US navy printed on it. A little too hardo for me. Agreed. I rather not have it, but it's only three letters and I read somewhere that they come off if dry cleaned. We'll see how offensive the stencilling is and what can be done about it. I could have gone for plain navy, but wanted khaki. Also, I'm not sure if the plain navy is the better quality "demotexed" jacket, which was more important to me.
