Hi, first time posting here.
So I've been reading through "Ask Andy about Clothing," "Fedora Lounge" and other clothing forums including this one to find a really good quality, durable chino/khaki pants.
Then voila, I discovered Ciano Farmer Denim's Duck Canvas and holy crap, even from my monitor, I could tell that the material looks very nice.
Unfortunately, most people on the forum (including Ciano's customer service worker) said that it would take around 15 weeks for me to receive the pants since the work line is relatively small compared to others.
Although I would definitely order a pair from Ciano in the near future, I just want to buy something that I can wear meantime while I'm waiting for my order to get finished and all.
So I was wondering if there's any alternatives to CFDCo's 12 oz Duck Canvas Khakis that I can pretty much wear all year round.
I've been looking at Bill's Khakis but people say that compared to their glorious olden days, the quality has declined (and customer service into the gutters.) Moreover, it seems that it's even more difficult to find a good pair of khakis with the price and quality as good as that of CFDCo's (I'm looking at ya Iron Heart.)
So, if anybody knows a good brand, please tell me.
Thanks.

You can also look at Left Field NYC and Rogue Territory. They both have duck canvas chinos. Taylor Stitch may have them too. Gustin will occasionally carry duck canvas chinos, but each of their pieces are only available during a funding campaign so you might have to wait awhile. CF chinos are pretty good, but be prepared to wait quite awhile. I’d expect 6 months.

Railcars are my choice. Whatever the non double knee Taylor Stitch pants are, Camp Pants? would also merit a look if they're made in the US.

In the price range you're looking for I would go with Left Field. I have a few pairs and they are nice. The only reason I'm not saying Railcar is that the back pocket design turns me off to them but other than that they look good although I don't own any.
Iron Heart would hands down be my #1 recommendation but I'm under the impression that's not the price range you're looking for.

Good point, Railcar rear pockets are a little casual. I prefer them to typical chino pockets, but understand why folks wouldn't. And I'd probably prefer the more versatile chino pockets for the office.

It's been 7 months since I ordered. I've called 3 times and gotten the same reply. I'm sure I'll get them some day but wouldn't order anything else

There were always the darlings of the board that could not be touched. As per my statement, you cannot speak poorly of Saint Ciano. Good thing I didn't say the bad thing this time. It is ok, I will leave and you all can stay here in the safe space.

No problems, just haven't received order. Called 3 times (it's cool that someone answers the phone) over the past 3 months but have gotten the same response - "Your order is cut but we're waiting for more fabric to finish. Should be in by the end of the week and shipped out". I like these guys and I'm ok with waiting. But don't order anything unless you are patient
