So I'm currently at the Gap since my wife needed to get a few things for herself. I take a walk to the men's section and notice they had a new straight fit Selvedge (keep in mind that the last time I've been to the Gap was about a year ago, I only knew about there Japanese Selvedge in a straight fit which runs big on me. Hence why I never got a pair from the Gap). So here are 2 photos of the tags from the new straight fit selvedge:   I prefer slim fit. So I asked one of the sales people about the slim fit selvedge. They said that Gap had made them all stretch now. So that's a big no no in my book. |

This could be the end. Dunno. SF has an article up on the mainpage that names Uniqlo's Selvedge as "Best discount jean of 2016" @ $50. And they are not stretch. |

If so, you are fitting in nicely here. If not, well, you're new here, so history lesson time. This forum actually was born from a forum that was once hosted by Gustin (www.weargustin.com). The gateway drug that brought a lot of us here and got us into the selvedge universe. It's a resource to check out for their periodic great drop, but generally for us to nit pick their inability to align a shirt, their boring denim choices, and uninspired decisions (like these beauties that inspired the aforementioned joke). |
