I'd consider giving FN another go but either their fits are weird or there's some stylistic detail that puts me off completely.

Well I'm giving this modern western jean shirt a shot, on sale for $125. Might be a little tight for me in the chest but the other measurements work and the only way I'm going to get a jean shirt otherwise is going to be a custom pattern. freenotecloth.com/collections/wovens

They are a little small for an XXL made in the US, and the length is way long for me and I'm 6'2". Hope it works for you.

The arms are going to be bunched up and yeah, they told me 48.5 on the chest which is a little small, would prefer inch or inch and a half more but for the price I could not resist. If it ends up not fitting I'll just have to take a loss on it and move on. Clearance gamble.

10oz Japanese Jacquard fabric. Warm and fairly wind-resistent. Reverse is almost better! Nice Job Freenote.

All I see is the Dude's sweater. Be careful driving and toking, keep an eye out for utility poles.

The 7oz Japanese denim is very soft and a nice medium color. Any thoughts on cold soaking or not? My first denim shirt.

Anyone have their chinos? They have the slim fit workers chino in selvedge twill, khaki, navy and olive for $100(!). I emailed them to see about the fabric weight and for a fit guide. They have a fit guide listed for the vintage fit, but not the slim. Might be tempted. We'll see what they say.
EDIT: Arg. Too good to be true. All the sizes for human sized humans are sold out.

Yeah, I noticed the no fit guide for the slims and looked at the pictures and just intuited they were too small. The bunching around the crotch and the top of the thigh are a dead giveaway.

Cool fit, but those pockets make me mad. Those paired with a TS Utility Shirt would be a pocket disaster.

Nice. I'll need to fire off an email and lobby for some pieces to be made up in XXL. They were receptive when I inquired about the S&S Red Corduroy exclusive.

Haha, I actually prefer the left to the right for a shirt.

Definitely is not the 170 fabric but the color scheme is obviously similar. You can see the differences in the fabric though as that looks like a brushed flannel and fuzzy where the 170 is not. Also I would wager the blue is not Indigo dyed on that fabric.

FN is one of the few that actually fit me. Wide enough shoulders, long enough arms, wide enough chest, and no curtains for me. ANd FN are pricey enough. I can't get on board with the law of diminishing returns as applied to IH.

FN is one of the few that actually fit me. Wide enough shoulders, long enough arms, wide enough chest, and no curtains for me. ANd FN are pricey enough. I can't get on board with the law of diminishing returns as applied to IH. i'm convinced that FN's shirts are made for tall, lanky fellas. At 5'11 their Lancaster shirt was definitely blousey and of the dick curtain variety. But mine didn't have gussets which might explain things. either way the cut/fit didn't work for me. If you were still able to get IH through Rakuten their prices are about what you would pay for FN, but now that Rakuten can no longer sell IH you'd have to pay $300+ for one of their flannels. I know that price is hard to swallow but i'm a firm believer now that IH has the best quality out there. I can't quite afford IH flannels at the moment but if and when I get some spare cash lying around i'm gonna spring for another flannel shirt. It's one of the few brands where I can safely look at their fit charts and know that i'm getting what I paid for.
