How does Bravestar still claim to be selling Cramerton cloth chinos? The Cramerton mill closed in spring 2016. Abercrombie and Fitch had bought a bunch from Cramerton and was still making pants out of the supply in 2017. What's Bravestar doing? Tellason switched to another South Carolina mill : http://instagr.am/p/BUNR0V7B1EQ

It's something they could have bought years ago. maybe they even had some foresight and bought up all they could knowing that the mill would be closing, making the fabric a wanted fabric and in demand.

I suppose this is why Epaulet stopped selling Cramerton.

I have often wondered about buying a telleson product but the fit guide is like a mousetrap or treasure map forcing you to interpret what you are looking at and applying the guides...is it too hard to link measurements or list them on the product page for each product...and their are no measurements for the stock items at all
just took a look at the chinos...but the above rube goldberg approach applies again...fail...ill keep with bravestar....

Good to know--I went ahead and ordered a pair in coal before they run out. Great fit, nice lightweight material for summer chinos.

Man, i consider my Cramerton chinos to be the opposite of lightweight/summer. They're definitely my favorite pair, but also my heaviest and warmest.

I think they're 9 oz, which is kinda middle of the road for chinos. They are my tweener chinos. I wear them when it's too warm for my 12 oz canvas chinos and too cool for my 5 oz twill chinos.

My new pair actually feels lighter than another pair of my chinos that I know is 7oz. I asked Brave Star and they say the pants are indeed the 9oz Cramerton, but that the fabric feels lighter because it has less starch. They also say Mic bought a big supply of cloth from Cramerton before the mill closed. Good to know.

Well I love the chinos in slim taper but my fandom is slippiing away.
This is my second try at the jeans in the second cut. This one came in under spec, just like the last pair in another cut and the WORST part of both pairs was the hip section which does not have an actual measurement.
What I mean is, the part across the top of your hips where your femur goes in, too tight across the ass cheeks squeezing them together and nearly pushing against your pelvis in front like a pair of womens jeans.
Not happy at all.

I've had exactly the same thing happen even with certain more expensive brands. It is puzzling when the other measurements all seem right.
Maybe try Indigogene--I've been happy with how his slim fit jeans fit across the hips.

I agree that Telleson's fit guides for their jeans and chinos are worthless, but they post up measurements for shirts, go figure. A year ago, or so, I saw they had selvedge women's jeans on sale, and thought they might work for my wife. I e-mailed them requesting measurements, and they sent me a chart with the pertinent information. There again, bizarre that they don't just post them up in the first place.

Well 3rd time is a charm.
For reference I normally wear G slim taper.
After going through Bravestar - Slim Taper then Slim Straight........got my pair of Regular Taper and they worked out.
Still slightly ass squeezing but fit pretty fricking good. Feel really good on actually, only pair close to as good a fit may be my CF's.

Are the regular tapers tight in the low hip? How do they compare to g slim there?

Are the regular tapers tight in the low hip? How do they compare to g slim there? Well I'm gonna wear them all day for the first time tomorrow but....... They feel about the same but the thing is that there is more FR and RR so while they squeeze a bit, the top block is much more comofortable. Ditto on the thighs and the calves.

Received my Regular Taper brown weft. Happy to have these as I had them before in another cut that did not fit.
I think I'm gonna try and wear these without a pre-soak. Not sure how long that will last as these are pretty starchy.

still wish they'd do a cramerton chino in olive. I emailed Mick about this over a month ago. No repsonse. I think he first mentioned doing an olive run to me in FEB of 17. Frick!!!

And finally! Some more selvage chino color options - Coal! They had released these once before. I own both, and if I had to do it again, I'd just double down on the khaki. The coal is nice, but not as nice as the khaki.

But how? The best I can determine, the coal might be available in the preorder section, in a fit that doesn't share a name with any of the three listed in the fit guide. So just order a random size, hope they eventually show up and possibly fit?
Good deal or not, that's a shitty way to tempt me. Maybe Mik can add VAT from some arbitrary country to really seal the deal?
