Are they lite weight? Lighter then your Levis? Similar to maybe slightly heavier weight to my current 501s. The starch and my lack experience with anything heavier than a 14.5 and a 15oz pair make it little hard to tell. I have also sold both of those heavier jeans to compare with. I have lost quite a lot of weight over a couple years now. The plus is some of my older 501s fit now. I have yet to get these hemmed/worn. Thanks for any help.

So there not these www.weargustin.com/store/66These are much lighter. A pair of Levi's I'd think would be 13-15 oz. they may be a one off and was not offered. They look nice. They seem to have a smooth consistent weave.

Wow, I thought you tracked it down. But alas I checked the belt loop ID and its yellow/gold. They also seem to be about as starchy as my previous Gustins. The supple16 do sound nice. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for any help. It seems you may have a Frankenstein pair. If the legs are yellow and blue and the belt loop is yellow and gold, it would seem they used two different denims (at least the belt loop but the rest would be all the same I'd hope). Here's another candidate (at least the loop) www.weargustin.com/store/1808

Thanks for trying. To be clear the belt loop is the same color as the leg. I live in the Steelers Nation where yellow and gold are the same color.

I can't remember all the dual id's anymore, though the Japan shine does have a dual ID. I'd guess it was a sample run of supple 16, and after that the shop was given the instruction to use both id on each leg. If it's a sample in the truest sense of the word there may be no match, but the id is an exact match, and the fabric texture seems to be a dead ringer.

Thanks for the replies, You might be on to something. Black and Gold ID Hmm, maybe someone in Cal. is part of the Steelers Nation. Couple questions. 1. Would a Supple16 have this much starch? They do feel soft but I wouldn't describe them as "pajama like softness" Not have owning any really heavy denim I was little dissappointed when I saw the small package. 2. Would 16oz denim fit into a 9.5X12.5 padded flat rate envelope? Thanks for any help.

They jam damn near everything in that bag. 11, 14.5, 16, 18, 20 oz. I think the only thing to do any different was the beast.
I don't have a pair of the supple 16, so I can't say first hand. I will tell you that I'm not sure where they come by their figures for denim softness, as they tend to write those descriptions based on 3x3" swatches. Once they're washed I'm sure they'll soften up.

But don't wash them at first. Do a warm 30 min Soak . That'll get any shrink out. The get them hemmed. Wash as you feel the need but Always inside out.
