I'm sure it will be a great jacket. Make sure to post up some pics when you get it. Just unboxed. I thought I'd snap a couple of quick pics..... I think it fits like a glove.....A brand new baseball glove, that needs to be beaten into submission. This will take a far longer break-in than any pair of denim. I freakin' love it.

Good fit and good color. New Baseball gloves we would always coat in Vaseline. Old26 recommends it for jackets as well.

Although, I don't think the jacket is need of conditioning, just yet. For the time being, I'll just wear the hell out of it. I recall Old26 mentioning vaseline, on a number of occasions. When the need arises, I will definitely consider it.

Especially a high quality leather jacket. It will not need anything for years. Just wear the heck out of it. Even take a nice walk in the rain. That can help loosen up a stiff jacket.

I just got in my Campus Jacket, and this is NOT a thick jacket that will take time to break in. It's so soft and pliable... I would venture to say it's made from prepubescent chinchilla scrotum that was soaked in a vat of Cambodian breast milk before being gently coaxed in to the form of a jacket

I'll have fit pics tomorrow... I immediately did a hot soak, and I'm wearing it until dry (While I'm out drinking, of course). HELLA compliments. I love it. This jacket will tell my life story, lol

HI Guys, the recommendation to use Vaseline comes from guys that know the hell out of the subject. John Chapman of Good Wear Leathers is the guy that got me hooked on using it. I also use the newer Lexol to clean the jackets maybe 1x a year if needed. JC uses Vaseline on the jackets he buys to use for patterns - some of them rare as hell and very expensive. After I got over the initial feelings against it, I learned that it does work really well and doesn't seem to buildup. That new jacket above doesn't need anything yet. It's pretty much perfect as-is.

42(XL) Usually, I'd be a 44. But, after seeing Giles' size and stats, and the listed specs, it seemed appropriate to size down. I'm 6'2", 200-205#, 44.5" actual chest, 36.75" sleeve.
