Well, it's cool and vintage and in great shape. not a bad price either. There's a guy on TFL that would likely know what it is, if I get the time I'll post it over there and see if he bites. But hey, if you like it and it's the right size, it's not a bank-breaker, and it looks pretty sweet... (but I'd not use an older jacket like that for moto riding protection FWIW). Thanks man! Yeah not looking to get that one. I have one a lot like it with the same tag, which is why I'm asking for an ID. Thanks so much! Edit: check it out! 1k posts!

I actually did some research on that tag and couldn't find anything. I know someone mentioned it was made in USA but didn't see any tags saying that. The Talon zipper is a good quality zipper so that's a sign of quality materials at least.

whiskeyriver - it may just be coincidence, but the design of the back is almost identical to that Golden Bear moto jacket Taylor Stitch and Epaulet just resurrected. It may be worth sending them an email and asking if it might be one of theirs. It seems they've pretty much always used a brand label, though.

It seems it may be a common design for these types of jackets, but it's definitely worth a shot!

Best way to get a used leather jacket to smell better? I think this one that just arrived was stored in a funk closet. It's black, so I'm not against hitting it with a bottle of something or other. Fits good.

As for my nice ol' jacket up there...after pullin' it back out, I think I wanna darken it a tad. I've read a fair bit around the nets about people using obaneufs on jackets to know that it won't hurt the jacket but it may darken it. So I may take that route.

It's a unique color now. Sell it to me before doing that. I'll send you my boring chocolate colored one in return.

Fits good. There have been leather jacket owners who have washed them in a washing machine with good results. They have washed them with soap on a gentle cycle and cold water from what I can remember. They always air dry no dryer. They have sometimes needed a conditioning treatment after as the leather can lose some of its oil/moisture.

I ended up with some saddle soap and spot-tested some Obenauf's LP. It looks a lot better in the spots I did. The liner has most of the funk, I think; that'll just go on air fluff in the dryer with a dryer sheet.

Even some vintage specialists in London thought of mine if it was an OG here is my RMC A2 for their 20th anni, I believe around 2008 in the older slimmer cuts, this is on a fictional chicago contract (Dubow). Dubow come a bit wider than other contracts
