Interesting that they mentioned a cream version, which I assume is the same as the Taylor Stitch I have. But RgT said theirs was damaged and they won't be selling it. Well the Taylor Stitch fabric was different from this. Taylor Stitch only had X on the one fabric and dots on the other. This fabric has X's oriented N/S where the TS was at an angle, and there are dot's in between the X's on the RT sample above. Maybe same fabric supplier but not same fabric?

Pretty sure it's the same, but TS and RgT are running it the opposite direction out. To be honest I think the TS would have looked better the other direction too. Of course if the TS was selvedge, they chopped it right off.

Best news for me is RT won't fit so I won't have to think about buying it.

Yeah, the Sashiko pants look pretty awesome: And the neppy Officer Trousers look good too, my Copper Officer Trousers are a frequent pick. Also digging this shirt: And I'll likely grab the rumored ISC Western and the Blue Owl unsanforized fall drop.

It also makes me laugh that Karl carries the same Kershaw Leek that I carry in the pen pocket in his front pocket. It's like it was designed to fit in their sixth pocket.

Doh. Nice catch on the Sashiko. That will be tempting when it's released.
How do you like the cut on the officer trousers?
If I could wear the shirts I'd probably instacop the green flannel. Thats a great, bright, shade and I really like color.

Thats a great, bright, shade and I really like color. I size up one on the trousers from my SK fit since they don't have the stretch of denim. Thighs are still a wee bit tight, but serviceable. Pocket bags are much deeper than their stupidly short jeans bags though. Workshirts fit me great, but the Westerns have some seriously tight forearms. Not sure what I'll do for the ISC Western, as I need an XL in the chest for the Neppy Western, but could stand an XXL for the sleeves.

The trench coat is an odd piece to have in his collection. He's had them for awhile now but don't know who's buying them. Flashers?

Yeah, if it were Ventile or some form of waterproof, I'd kinda consider it. I have a wool trench that's great for layering when wearing a suit, but a cotton overcoat, much like a cotton coat of any type, is just dumb.

Is it just me or does the pocket placement on the new RgT flannels look weird? They seem too close to the placket to my eyes.

More importantly, the French placket on the quilted flannel kills it for me. The collar was a knock against it, but the placket just plain sucks.

Interesting the grey/black version doesn't have the dumb placket or collar. Much better looking shirt. RgT is a funny brand. I only own a Supply jacket from them, which I really like. I don't feel cool enough to wear a lot of their other stuff. Maybe it's just an LA vs. Midwest style thing. Their stuff is definitely cut for skinny dudes. Made the mistake of buying a pair of pants on sale from them that I couldn't return. Won't do that again.
EDIT: I like those olive herringbone work trousers.

agreed. I own the waxed supply jacket but that's about it. Oddly enough, I like some of the random offerings he puts out but his fits do seems tailored for skinny guys, so it's unlikely i'll spend any money with them in the future. One thing I dislike is that they doesn't specify shrinkage info on any of their stuff from what I can tell. IH has spoiled me in this regard so it's hard for me not to look for that info. Sometimes RgT's design aesthetic is on point and other times it's absolutely horrendous.

yeah I really want to like RgT but they just miss the mark for me. Can't really pinpoint it but I'm not sure exactly what they're trying to do.

I can appreciate that Karl is doing his own thing, so i'll give him props for that. He's built a successful brand and he has his followers, which in this day and age is hard to do. Again, I think IH has spoiled us in some ways because we now scrutinize the smallest details when it comes to other brands. We look at pocket placement, pattern alignment, proper fit, gussets, shrink info, etc, and IH has set the bar really high when it comes to quality.

RgT Westerns are a good fit for me and I like the front yikes, but outside of those, I don't really care for his shirting
Jeans though, he's good there with more and more proprietary denim and I like the SK fit as it's got more room in the top block than a lot of slim fits. Stantons are a little loose for my liking.

RgT Westerns look fine but the rest of his shirting isn't my cuppa tea. It's the sizing/shrinkage factor too that has always put me off. They don't state the weights of the fabrics they use on their shirts, so that hasn't made me want to investigate further. Those little details matter.

Guess I'm a heathen as I have lots of unwashed flannels and when I do wash them, it's a cold rinse and hang dry. So my concerns on shrinkage are close to zero. Now the weight would be good to know, but I've found that Karl answers questions quickly. Not that we should all have to ask.

In other non-IH news, I just picked up a pair of the 14 oz Neppy SK. Beautiful fit. Nice weight and having another LHT pair that hits the "nep" category on my denim wishlist.

Hoping the BoW collab are similarly neppy. $275 was initially giving me reason to pause, but the sizing specs are projecting to fit as well as my most broken-in pair of G's (Japan Standards) and I typically use those as my benchmark for denim fit. I'm loving the nep on these. Today was my first full day of wear and I've received some compliments on these. Planning to wear these for a work trip this week to get more break-in on them. Ideal weight for fall that's not too heavy. Not too stiff right out of the bag either.

Yeah, SK is my favorite fit, like a G Slim or Oni 517 with an extra inch of rear rise and a touch more taper from the knee down. It's hard to justify anything else, especially if the BOW unsanforized are a cool texture this year.

The denim is legit as neppy as the pictures on the BO site.

Yeah, but details are scarce. Supposed to be out this month, around 17oz pre soak and in the SK fit again.
